IC it would be terrible for Kyria the telepath to have the symbiote, but that doesn't mean anything to me OOC.My biggest thing is I would like A) someone who really relishes the opportunity to have it and will do it justice in RPing the situation out.Keep in mind this will not be the only time a chance will come up. It happened several times in the course of the TV series and it can happen several times in the game. Someday someone might just get captured by a Goa'uld for example. :evil: I'm just saying, if you don't get the chance now don't worry others will come along. Mr Fox Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share Posted January 29, 2010 Just to let everyone know, my tier 1 support guy that worked for me just got laid off this morning so all of his work load is now on my shoulders on top of the new normal. Two weeks ago they turned on auto-ticketing on every alert that we respond to. Most of my day is now spent doing BS make-work just so the big high mucky-mucks can get better numbers on how much we do around here. We went from doing 250-300 incident tickets per month to 3000+. Surprise, we told them we were busy and they didn't believe us. That means I've got way less time available than I normally would for the site. Things go in waves. The beauty of my 12 hour shift at work was that I often got long slow periods where nothing was breaking and posting was something to relieve the boredom. Not that I didn't have anything to do, but there was choice and time could be made. The changes at work are making those slow times much less frequent. The annoying thing about it is that there isn't more work, but that we're having to do stupid make-work. The idea was by turning on all the auto-ticketing it would force the automation team to fix the problems that come up over and over. It worked for about a week, but now they've put all the improvements on hold but left the auto-ticketing on. The Ancient device can reverse Taint, however, it has to be bought off via np/xp at the same cost as you originally saved when taking the taint. This is something that has been building up for a while, and something that had been discussed at the start of the game (PC's breaking away from the SGC/Earth). However, a consensus of the players is needed, so Fox knows where everyone stands OOCly on the idea and what characters might be going with them. So, post!
