What actions? He made an honest mistake and didn't behave like a thug. Then he went on a bender for totally believable actions. No one was the Bad Guy.

Nope, no healer currently.

The SGC will definitely be interested in the eufiber though. I'm sure the scientists are chomping at the bit to get their hands on a sample to see what they can do to synthesize it. Of course it won't be true eufiber, but it would make better material for uniforms to be made from.

Oh and just so you know, Eufiber in this universe does not have it's defensive properties or it's quantum storage. It does still change shapes though.

This is in spoiler box because it IS a spoiler for the show, and I know that at least two people are watching the episodes right now.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind. She's a great character, and I'll miss her greatly in the show. I cried, and not just because I get mushy over

I added this not to criticize, but to make sure we're all on the same page. And so that Fox can decide what if anything he wants to do about it.

Spoiler warning...

Click to reveal..

Well, I was thinking she had died in season 8 or 9. I didn't realize she had died so early. I am in the process of going back and rereading all the episode summaries to get my timing more accurate and to decide what I want to introduce and what I don't.

That being said, this SGC does differ somewhat from canon. Part of that was a conscious decision on my part to set the game in what I believe to be the best time period for introducing the characters. Too early in the series and there wouldn't be enough enemies and plots to choose from, too late and too many enemies and plot lines would be all wrapped up. So instead I put the game late in the series but have chosen not to start some plots that would have been already in effect. The Ori for example will not be introduced for a good while if at all. Cam Mitchell has not been put in charge of SG1 and will in fact be introduced as a character in the game.

Dr. Fraiser unfortunately, was an oversight on my part and as a result she just might survive in this universe. Lucky for her. smile

Another "let everyone know" post:

I'm working on final projects and upcoming finals for about the next two weeks, so I'll be keeping up on my current threads, but if anyone wants me to post in a specific thread I'm not already involved in, please either catch me in chat or drop me a PM so that I'm aware of it. Thanks!

Ok, I am officially back. My training class was pretty intense so I just didn't have the energy to post much this last week. I'll be getting caught up today and hopefully tonight Stargate will have any responses needed that have been waiting on my. By tomorrow at the latest I'll have everyone updated.

Re: Omar's reaction to Noah

I know most of you are not military, but I am, and have an advantage to understanding things like military courtesy.

What Omar did was hardly a 'dressing down', just to make that clear. I have been 'dressed down' and it is extremely unpleasant and shaming. He didn't yell at the Lt., but reminded him that he needs to respect his superior officers, especially if they have just met. As a leutenant, Noah would understand military courtesies and why they are important. He would also understand Omar's reaction, given that he is an officer and has earned his rank. Noah would not like it if an NCO or lower enlisted dismissed his rank, especially if he did not know the soldier. Why do you think that the military characters call O'Neill, 'sir', 'Colonel' or 'General' in the series- because they are miliary and they do it out of respect for the rank. It is nothing personal, and should not be taken as such. It is ingraned into every soldier to be aware of their command structure and protocols.

For example: Teal'k is non-military and can call General O'Neil, O'Neil, as can civilian specialists. I might add, that all soldiers, regardless of rank, will always call a civilian 'sir' or 'maam'.

After some time has passed, and you have built a rapport with your soldiers, it is ok to be less formal. As they say in the military- 'You only have one opportunity to make a first impression, after that, you are just kissing ass.'

This is just a heads up to those who are not in the military as to how things are done. SG and Stargate Atlantis are pretty accurate in that respect.

To be honest Omar, it was a slip by me as a player. I thought I had given enough in my description that an introduction, including his name, would be implied and clearly I didn't.

I have constantly stated OOC that Noah is nothing but respectful if somewhat distant to higher ranked officers. Also I didn't realize Omar was part of the military command structure. I was under the impression he was in a similar situation as Gwyn. Live and learn. Still, it goes well to describing how Noah feels about much of the military and will be interesting to see how Omar and Noah relate to each other, being on the same team and all.

Actually, Forge, the IOA investigated Livy's background and transferred Hatchin's in specifically to screw with her because she refused to play ball with them. It's their way of flipping her the bird and pointing out just how much she should have accepted their generous offer to be a spy for them. It's not about her personal demons, it's about the IOA's spitefulness. grin
