Heritage
Does anyone have a problem with me sort of quietly writing Walter (Malk's character who ran the storage area) out of the story before he even appears? One less XPC to deal with would be a big help. We can just say he was on loan to the Hades team or somewhere else for some reason, but never have to bring it up in-game. That just leaves me Damien to deal with - poor, sweet innocent Damien...Hell, let's just do the same for Damien, too - no need to kill him (onscreen, at least ::wink) if we don't need to - less for me to have to write is good for everyone, I say. Heritage
Can I ask you guys something? Can I just due an atmospheric, well-writen recap instead of recreating the lost posts, because I honestly don't remember everything, and I don't know if I have the stomach to try to stitch them together, but I really want to get the game moving again. ezekiel
I also vote that we each try to backup the thread as often as possible..this isn't the first EON crash with lost data...happens about once a year. Chances are if all players try to backup every so often (at every post even, you can just overwrite your last backup) then next time we'll have a more recent backup. If you go in options at the bottom of the thread you can download the topic in HTML or .doc

Alex Green
- Mere moments ago, a powerful and deadly 'pulse' covered the entire state of Washington, painfully killing all novas in the area that possessed warping or teleportation abilities. The cerebral hemorrhaging did not distinguish between young or old, soldier or civilian, and finished its bloody work in just over thirty seconds.Well, shoot. Mike just died (thus the need for a different PC). A pity I didn't buy him INV:Mental. Or 5 dots of Psychic Shield. BlueNinja
Just to clarify, Judy is not sped up, but can see everything that the hypertime folks see, just at normal speed. Nifty. Hate to sound left out here ... but if all the warpers and teleporters are dead, then is there any form of transportation (not counting the vehicles and good old feet) still in operation? Alex Green
At the moment I think most of the PCs are hoping their base was the only place to lose Warpers.
Heritage
Just so everyone is clear on this, t-ports are mechanical; they just need a human operator to run them, and a working unit at the recieving end to accept the payload. If the recieving unit isn't working, nothing happens, so your only concern is an unfriendly reception at the other end. You don't have to be an Engineer to operate one, either, but they are good at troubleshooting if there's any sort of problem.
