Akira
It looks like Dari just dropped a bombshell, if Ranner (our Sith Assassin) hasn't escaped. Was that GM sanctioned or just an RP liberty? Not really sure how to react to that as a player, without some clarification OOC. But if it's correct, is she really going to continue her speech for 3-4 more minutes instead of us immediately heading out after the dirty SOB? (I probably would have put the speech first, then the part about Ranner, but that's just me.) However, I am a little confused on how to handle that before I can write my next post. I think Akira and Joram would want to immediately jump to their feet and ask permission to head after him, never letting Dari continue talking after that.Dari? Dave? A little help, please. Dawn OOC
If Dari posted that, then she had Dave's permission to do so. I know you're newish and really only play in this game (as far as I know), but you'll learn that people on this board don't make up plot points without checking with the ST first. Mostly because once people learn you do that, they stop playing with you. Also, Dari's not that kind of player. Again, you'd have no reason to know that, which is why I said something. Just as a note, she did delay him, so you have a bit of time. Besides, they always had time for a rousing speech in the SW Universe!

Akira
That's cool. I guessed that was the case and if she has the insider knowledge, we are not losing any time by listening to her talk. Just have a fidgeting Padawan that is having difficulty paying attention, that's all. I didn't want to assume (you know what they say about assuming). No worries, game on! Dave ST
It's all good Akira. I'm all powerful, all knowing, and some say not all together. Had Dari gone ahead and taken it upon herself to weave her own plot without my approval I'd have had her destroyed by now, rest assured. This is not a Republic forum, Marshal Law is always in effect. Please, carry on and long live the Sith Empire. Akira
No worries mate. Sorry I haven't replied IC like I planned to. I am on a business trip and limited access and time. I might be a little scarce this month, but should be able to post light if necessary to keep things moving.
Stargaizer
Do we have two unannounced new players or two uninvited guests?Just curious.
Shosuro Miren
Puck would be quite put out to think he wasn't invited.....he's so charming, after all. This is Malachite, by the way, SG. We're legal, I promise!

Akira
I guess I would have welcomed you if you had popped in and said "hello". That's generally the polite thing to do. I am guessing Hana and Puck are both yours. Whether you are joining us or just pulling a guest appearance, welcome.
Shosuro Miren
Hana isn't mine, she belongs to another player who'll introduce themselves when they have the time, I'm sure.
Akira
Oh, 50-50 guess on that one. Based on two posts, the style was similar enough that I thought you might be one and the same.
z-Hana Rexius
Sorry about not coming in and making the formal bow, but I barely had time to get that post up. Christ people, I have to admit, were I a new player, after reading the welcome Puck and Hana got I'd not even bother announcing myself to you guys.Way to go. Stargaizer
Honestly it was the simple fact that they weren't announced that spurred my question. I thought it was a rule of thumb or at least etiquette to at least say 'hi' or post a sheet or do something before you posted IC in a game. That being said (and thinking that this game was closed to new people, because I hadn't heard/seen any different), I saw two fairly new accounts that I had never heard of and I didn't know if we had two new people who didn't know the rules, a couple of thread-crashers, or what. So I asked to see if anyone else knew.If I came off harsher than intended, I apologize. I was a bit taken by surprise. I have no desire to scare off new people, I just wanted to make sure that everything was kosher. I guess I came off as harsh and uninviting. My sincerest apologies. Dave ST
Fair enough Star.Guys, seriously, no character will enter this game unless I approve them, first. Had we 'thread crashers', I would have destroyed them by now and cast their souls into oblivion. Trust me, I have the power. That said, try and embrace surprises because I still have one more for you...
Stargaizer
Just one... that's sad... unless it's a bad surprise, and then you can keep it. *grins*
Serena McCoy
First, a belated "Hi!! Welcome to the game!" to Hana and Puck, although I was probably less taken by surprise than everyone else here. Second, if I need a roll for that last action Dave, please let me know and I'll add it. Dave ST
Normally I'd say yes, but Dari didn't really go the diplomacy route she kinda went the "Okay, you got us, y'coming or not?" route. On the plus side, thanks to Layel's keen eyes, you know factually that he's not carrying a lightsaber. That'll make beating him into submission easier. Dave ST
A note about Force Points...When you spend a force point you roll the appropriate number of dice when the point is spent and then add that amount to all other dice rolls until your turn on the following round. So if you rolled 1d6 and got a 5 you would apply a +5 bonus to all your rolls (attacks, skill checks, saves) until your turn came up on the next round. You do not roll your Force Dice with every die roll you make, you roll it once and that value is used for all subsequent rolls while the force point is in effect. Akira
Any sign of Joram?Otherwise, I think we are waiting on Dave for results of FX's skill check and Ranner's responses to Akira and Dari when he is able.
Dave ST
Akira - Yes the Ranner in the image and th eRanner in the flesh are wearing the same clothes. The differences come into play in the small details. In person, Ranner looks like he's been through a battle. A few minor rips in clothes and a few minor burns, nothing serious. It the holo, and in the jungle where Joram found him earlier, Ranner's outfit had a large blaster wound in his left side. Obviously the blaster would burn the clothing and leave the wound cauterized but there is no bacta or species (that you guys are aware of) that regenerates wounds like a blaster mark in just about an hour without the use of the Force.R2-FX - I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do... FX doesn't possess the proper medical protocols to run a full biological analysis on a species, even if he did, what would he compare it to? Keep in mind that while a holo will permit you to identify a face (which it's pretty obvious Ranner is the one in the footage, no roll is needed to see that) the best FX could do would be to compare data from the holo and the man in front of him and give basic info.Judging sole on data, yes, the two men are the same and it doesn't take a Treat Injury check to determine that no one could be that active in the holo with a wound as grievous as that one unless they were on some kick ass drugs, or were using the Force. The data is enough, along with the skill roll, to tell you guys that: Yes, the two men, statistically (weight, build, muscle mass, body fat, even the spacing of the eyes) are within 98% accurate of each other. That's about the best FX can do without being a medical droid.
Stargaizer
Thats all I was trying to do, just some advanced facial/body recognition. Oh and who all knows about his previous injuries?
Dave ST
Everyone I'd imagine, it's clear as crystal in the holo footage.Aside from the holo, Joram is the only one who encountered Ranner in the jungle (Ranner never identified himself, just said he was getting the hell off the rock).Without Joram's player present, I'll assume for the sake of argument that everyone knows about the encounter here...http://www.rpg-post.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/179331/2.html

Mr Fox
Cool. Was kinda looking for Dave to clue me in as to whether Bant was known at the Jedi enclave or not. If so then I would know of him, if not then probably not. Either way Joram will offer to escort you guys to the masters, but I want to know how to react before I post.
