Sunstar
Hello. Name's Cecilia. I also go by the name Pulse. Erupted a while back (a little over a year for those curious). Gotta say, being able to manipulate computers and fly is pretty damn awesome. Though a couple other things I got are a little weird. Currently am in college. Specifically West Washington U. Nice to meet you folks.
Ryusei Hideyoshi
Welcome to the site Pulse. I can't speak much on manipulating computers, but I agree that being able to fly is awesome. It's nice to meet you as well.
Doryoku
Agreed! Welcome to our ever growing family! And forgive the profile picture, I got alot of updating to do. *blushes* While I'm sure Seifuku attract the men, I doubt I wan't that sort of attention. Sunstar
Thanks to you both. And don't be embarrassed Sakurako. It makes you look adorable. *snicker*. Least you look cute undormed. So anyways, what powers did you get in the Nova Power Lottery, Sakurako?
Doryoku
Actually that pic is of me not being dormed. My hair is black dormed. As for the power "lottery", I got the brains. Lots of it. And it seems an inventive streak to boot. I'm not that special, but it's fun being able to tinker... safely. Come to think of it I do look cute... Oh golly I forgot to update my profile! Still says I'm in high school... *blushes* I knew I should have kept things up to date.
Sunstar
Speaking of pics...*pms Sakurako* Everyone else, ask first. I've got a little boost in my grey matter as well, I also am faster and look a little weirder now. Hence why I only am showing my face by request. And you should update Saku. It looks pretty out of date.
Doryoku
Yeah, after tossing that picture to you of the latest thing I've got done working on, I should update.
Bombshell
Oh, c'mon! Can every Nova but me fly? Honestly, welcome to the boards, even if I'm not here that often anymore, what with the Valkyrie TV show and the XWF. I'm Jason by the way, though you might (probably) know me as Bombshell. And yeah, I ended up with a big pair of weird things when I erupted too... Though after two years, they ain't so weird anymore. And Sakurako, pleased to see you here too, I know you brother Ryusei. He goes out with my ex-girlfriend nowadays. Sunstar
Sorry Bombshell. But that's just the cards you were dealt. Anyways Nice to meet ya hun.
Doryoku
@Bombshell: Sorry... I can fly too. Although Reeeeal slow. Last time I took a long trip just to see how far I could go (Tokyo to Los Angeles for a tech symposium) I had to take a ditch kit for the wet pit-stops to rest up. Still got that issue, but I'm working on it.*looks down*Oh, and... you've got me beat there. ^.^ Last time I had that sort of front end I was wearing a flotation device. ^o^No insult intended of course. You are beautiful in a norse, goddess-like sort of way.
Sunstar
XDYeah, you also have me beat by a country mile, Bombshell. Make that two actually. XP Sorry, could not resist. But yeah, your gorgeous@Sakurako That seems pretty slow. I'm a little faster at flying, but not by much, I'm afraid. ;. Guess it will be a while before I can take a day trip to Tokyo. Doryoku
You know, if you're not too adverse to getting wet maybe I could fly escort with you. Better to tread water with a partner, and I have more than enoguh gear to share if you really want to try going on your own. I'll just need a front, side, and above picture and your height. I'm good at extrapolating dimensions that way. ^.^I know a few scenic flight routes too that I can get clearance for easily. Why take the fast lane? And besides, I know of a few good fishing spots for a quick bite to eat. It'd be like a camping trip just... wetter.
GDP_ST
Heya Pulse!I'm Sunshine, and I erupted a little while ago too. Flying is cool, isn't it? I haven't flown outside of Canada yet, because I haven't had a reason to really, plus the folks at PU said that I shouldn't go flying around without a passport, but...Well, one time I decided to see how far up I could fly on my own. I didn't tell Jael or Jason or anyone, I just went up as fast as I could. I made sure to keep my ascent vertical, so that radars wouldn't have anything to Doppler effect off of, and I didn't stop until I was outside the atmosphere. It was freaking AWESOME! I was just floating up there with all these stars around me, and I could feel the radiation and energy that the atmosphere deflects and stuff just pouring into me, and I never felt stronger. It was like being a sponge in an ocean! And I could see the whole world underneath me... well, the North American and Pacific parts of it. That was cool, especially the bits still in darkness with the lights of the big cities dusted on them.Umm, anyway, welcome to the board!
Doryoku
I could do that... if I wore a space suit. Coming down would be the hard part as well. I'd have to control my speed slow enough not to cause heating. It's odd, flying, at least for me truly breaks the usual laws of physics, namely escape velocity.Oh golly, I think I got a fan already. One of my recent clients has a daughter and she really liked me... I can tell since she drew up a sketch of me with what I looked like while working for her father overseeing the stability of his business intranet.I know, this place might not be a personal refrigerator... but I thought it was a cute touch. Although I have cut my hair back a bit since that time...I'll probably have something real to update my profile with shortly. Addendum: Speaking of which, here's the promised pic... It's the suit I wore on my first cross-Pacific trip. Of course I'm not wearing all the gear I was wearing on the voyage (I mean, a 275N Inflatable PFD, a large waterproof backpack with all my clothes for the trip and a extra bag with a single-person life raft was bulky enough!), but I am wearing the eufiber suit and with an extra matching helmet I designed for protection if I so needed it. Sunstar
@SunshinePretty cool. Haven't tried breaking to surly bonds of gravity yet. Yes I know that was a awful pun.@SakurakoKid must really like you then. Drawing looks cute. Also that armor looks really cool. Love the helmet. You made it yourself?
Doryoku
Had to borrow a fabricator to make the drysuit portion of the suit. Then I have my Eufiber colony seal the suit from the inside and it can reach into the helmet to form a seal as well. I just hook up a air supply then and I'm fine for a couple hours.Although without the helmet it's a really comfortable suit to wear as well. Wore it skiing earlier. I think I got a couple looks with the design concept I whipped up.But yeah... It's nifty. Although I've yet to figure out enough supplies to make a combination spacesuit, biohazard suit, and diving suit rolled into one. Working with existing tech means needing the right tools. Luckily I've been saving up but it'll take a bit.Heh, and I did think her rendition of my business suit was darling.
Bombshell
Alex! I don't mind - not really - if you fly around, but at least let me or Jael know where you're going, dude, in case you get lost or something happens or whatever. Plus, we'll be able to tell PU that everything is okay - no need to give them any excuses, eh?Sakurako and Cecilia... thanks for the compliments, I never tire hearing odes to my peerless hotitude, like this lovely gem from an ardent admirer. Click to reveal.. (The Bombshell Serenade) Pah! Verily the fulsome figure of the bodacious Bombshell is the pinnacle of Man's desire and thus could be considered out of the reach of mortals, but for her considerable curvature to be such that Men no longer think of her as an object sexual?! I say thee nay!The vaults of banque de spank worldwide would empty, causing a hithertofore unknown deficit in the attention men pay to the palms of their hands, which in turn could cause a ollapse of the vaseline industry! This is a torrid travesty that must not come to pass! Bombshell's bombshells must remain firmly afix'd to the minds-eye of Man!Be she some Snow Queen, aloof and deigning not to tread upon the same earth as the rest of us?! Never! Bombshell's delicious delightful derriere is anything but cold and aloof. It invites the eye... AYE! and the hand to rest upon it's gorgeous globularity! And the sashay most-singular that marks her pulchitudinous progress, whether it be along the Avenue Fifth or the catwalk Parisian, should not be placed beyond the carnal consideration of the addled adolescence that is the formative furnace of male sexuality!Einherjar ceases his oratory with one clenched fist upraised to the heavens before bowing and stepping down off his soapboxJust as long as you girls don't accuse me of turning you gay. I wish I could say something like that has only happened...Nice outfits Sakurako, I'm sure the XWF Promotion Department would love to get me in either skin-tight spandexium or a sailor suit, and have tried, though you seem to be missing the stilettos. I guess needing a plane to fly makes it easier to bring luggage though. Again, glad to see some new faces here. I'm not on the road as much at the moment, so maybe I'll be around the Boards more. Eingar
Oh yeah. I was well into the rum that night. It was after my second Valkyrie shoot and decided to wax poetic.
Doryoku
Meh, I don't go for the Sailor Senshi style personally.I mean I'll admit, sailor collars add some cute to an outfit but in a fight... seriously... that's a combat liability unless it's break-away with velcro or something. And I don't do short skirts. No. Over my dead CPUs.In fact, and this is something my Dad has always noticed... I don't like having much skin exposed. I guess it's just me. Sunstar
You also need to bring into question the logic of fighting in high heels. And they fact the villains apparently feel no need to attack while they transform. Besides Nanoha could annihilate the whole lot of them. And Bombshell, you raise a valid point. As cool as flying is, it would be a pain to have to carry four bags across oceans. Maybe once I figure out how to break the sound barrier.... Doryoku
Abyss: I never quite understood that sort of stuff in Anime. Then again my daily anime diet consisted (before things got busy) of material from Masamune Shirow, Katsuhiro Otomo, and company.Never really liked the Magical Girl genre. But to be honest... Mikoto Misaka would pretty much wreck anyone's day. Electromagnetism... what a force! Also the bags are more awkward than heavy. Set them up right... *sigh* Well I am just used to packing alot for camping. I've done it several times so I guess I never noticed how unweildly I pack to other folk. Doryoku
Ryusei, remember, I LIKE the long way. Then again, if I need to be there fast I'll let you know.Besides, you've never seen how much fun I actually have. Yeah it's alot of trouble, but this is as close to roughing it a nova can get. It takes alot more in preparation but still it's rewarding when you're sitting in the blue, a nice catch prepped for a meal and some desalinized water to wash it down under the unfettered sky. It's not all tech and equations for me. Scorched the inside a bit.But It's all okay now. At least I can still use the garage for storage.
