Archer21
Man, I love that show! Can't wait to see the season premiere tonight...any other fans out there?
Aeon
I like it, but over here in the UK it seems to be played at the most ridiculous hours of night, so I tend to miss most episodes unfortunately...
Archer21
That's a shame...really clever writing on the scripts. There are obviously some differences between the comics and the TV show, but they're trying really hard to stick to the core storyline. Nice effects, too. Ayre el KaBeer
I find it an ok show, I kinda go sick of the new kid each episode who developed a power that would drain the life/heat/energy of others, and how anyone else with a kryponite power was alway evil. Archer21
Gotta agree on that point, Ayre...the "monster of the week" bit got real old, real quick. That was pretty much the first season though...now they seem to be concentrating a lot more on the interpersonal relationships, and Clark's destiny. My absolute favorite part of the show has to be all the inside jokes from the writers...Clark referring to his loft in the barn as his "fortress of solitude" killed me! ::smiley1
knave
They also seem overly constrained by canon.
Archer21
I'm not sure what you mean, Knave...can you elaborate?
knave
Mainly with regards to who Clark can tell about being superdooper. You know that it'll be a big anti-climax with whichever squeeze he's currently into because (surprise) he can't tell her - so it always builds up and up and then collapses just as you know it will. Same goes for the Lex side of things. He can't become really bad because you know he can only be really bad later.
ezekiel
I watched Smallville for the first time this week...I thought it was ok but not excellent. Its a bit too "teeny" I think. Even Rutger Hauer didn't save it for me...I also watched "Angel" though, now THAT'S funny! Well, I thought it was good anyway...
