Cade
looks like We've got another big storm, this time it may affect the area I live in so I'm prepared to leave. If I happen to go silent for a few days you'll all be able to see why on the weather channel.
Amped
I knew I should have turned off that weather machine I was building in the attic.
Sakurako Hino
Damn.Rita is a Cat-5 Hurricane, and showing no signs of weakness, and there seems to be nothing steering it anywhere harmless. At least FINALLY our government is mobilizing it's disaster response better than Katrina.Probably because Texas is Bush's home state. Augment
It was just announced on the news that evacuation is mandatory for anybody living south of Interstate 10, which means me and Long, so we'll probably be out of comission for a little while.so later everyone, I'm outta here within the next hour and a half. Sakurako Hino
I just took a look at the Satelite picture. Just saw Rita make a turn for DUE NORTH. I'm starting to think Rita isn't going towards the Texas/Louisiana borderline, it's going for New Orleans. I have this feeling that's what is going to happen. Long
well it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. The power will be out for several weeks, one of our hospitals was severely damaged and one of the riverboats is flat out missing. The good side though is tat the area was nearly 95% evacuated if not more. The storm surge was not as great as was expected though there are reports from law enforcement that the Southern area of town is flooded. I'll let you all know as I hear more, Take care everyone. No real damage other than the roof and the driveway. We have some minor waterdamage inside, some bubbling drywall, some wet carpet.
