Mr Fox Posted March 26, 2009 Author Share Posted March 26, 2009 Steve fired doing little or no damage but keeping one opponent occupied and pinned down much like Taylor. The other four Jaffa concentrated on Omar and Vinny as the biggest threats. Omar's mighty punch left his opponent lying still and most likely dead. His dodge was just exactly the right thing to do and excellent reflexes as the bolt from the staff weapon tore a chunk of sod from the forest floor right next to where he had just been almost frying his own now unconscious companion.Vinny on the other hand did not have quite as much luck. Two more bolts slammed into his shield and he was able to return fire, but the Jaffa's armor deflected much of the energy of the bullet doing only a small amount of damage to one of the two men in the depression next to the path. He grabbed the Jaffa into a bear hug and began squeezing, careful that the enemie's back was facing the other Jaffa. Under the circumstances and given that he was not a trained soldier it was the right choice, and thanks to a little luck on his part he caught the other man just as he also stepped out to fire another blast. Several bullets hit, a few ricocheting off the armor but some found flesh and the man went down in a spray of blood. He might not be dead but he was severely hurt.Ahead in the direct confrontation, Omar was able to grab hold of his opponent with his massive arms. The Jaffa was big and heavily muscled, but against Omar it was like a child wrestling with a grown man. He had no hope of escape, it was only a matter of time before he lost consciousness. Luckily, his other opponent was out of the action.On the other side of the trail in the fox hole the two Jaffa were just as unlucky. Their bolts seemed useless against a prepared Vinny coming straight on at them. Then the mortar went off spraying phantom shrapnel all through their hiding place shredding the skin it came in contact with. They weren't out, but it was only a matter of mopping up.Taylor was left with the only viable opponent, and himself followed Steve's example switching to full auto. At the very least it would keep the other man pinned down till Steve or Vinny could finish him off. Like Steve he got luckier than expected and actually hit his opponent drawing blood. The man was not out however and returned fire. Mr Fox Posted April 1, 2009 Author Share Posted April 1, 2009 Omar and Vinny were both busy for a few seconds finishing off their chosen targets, but there was still one functional Jaffa standing and he had to chose between two targets, both of whom seemed to be reloading their weapons. Mr Fox Posted April 5, 2009 Author Share Posted April 5, 2009 Omar bowled the remaining Jaffa over finishing him as a threat. All that was left was mopping up. With some of the jaffa still alive the decision was made to take them back to the SGC for questioning. The trip back was quick and uneventful.
