Most of you don't, I'm sure, but I figured I should tell Bombshell and Ryusei where I've been on account of the fact we broke bread and shared salt together, however briefly, and Bombshell offered me hospitality.I had an emotional breakdown after the Crush, then got hit with a suit from my mother demanding financial repayment for all the extra time and effort she put into me because of my Asperger's Syndrome, and had to dodge several job recruitment offers that were meant to play on my sense of altruism. Not that I have one.I had to take a short freelance gig with Novelty Consulting to cover the costs of settling out of court with my mum. Blech, next time I'm drinking irradiated water for a bet... I wasn't really talking yet, but I've been privately tutored and now I've started school with other kids my age. Well, I think they're my age anyway. I'm sorry that you've had a bad time - The Crush was hard on a lot of people who worked there, like you and Jason. And it sucks that your mother is asking for money for looking after you. Do people actually do that? I've had lots of people claiming to be my parents or other family. One man actually tried to claim I was his lover, which was strange for me.What was the job you did for Novelty? I've been thinking about what I'll do after school. College, sure, but to study what? I've learned that part of growing up is that people don't have to take care of you anymore, which is weird to me because everyone seems to be taken care of by someone. People have cops to protect them and armies to fight for them and governments to tell them what to do. But at the same time there's a message underlying it all saying that we have to 'stand on our own two feet'. It doesn't make much sense. I mean, technically I can't even fly myself across the border to America without someone's permission.Anyway, I'm rambling. Back to you: Why is Amanda Wu a bitch? She's supposed to be really smart. Mainframe here on the boards is really smart too, and so is Sakurako, but they're not bitches. You'd think someone who was intelligent would know better than to be a bitch. Or is it because they think they know better? Mainframe was a little like that a short while ago, but I don't think she's bad, just lonely. She said she doesn't spend much time socialising. If you worked for Novelty you're pretty smart too; where do your strengths lie? With me it's picking things up fast. I've been learning flat-out since I 'woke up' and I've picked up a lot of things, like Romance languages and history and mathematics and stuff.
