CHILL
Personally I use the 'Star Wars' method where players always have access to their powers - but it takes an equal and opposite time to recharge Psi points. Any others?
harlequin
we generally play with a double psi rule, ie: the characters temporary psi is double what their permanent psi is... otherwise we don't really change anything...
operations
I'd started a house rule post here somewhere. My Psi rules are in that post as well.
CHILL
On a Psi rules front, I use double pool and allows expenditure of 1 point to maintain a power (for ex certain Telepathy powers).Um... thats about it I think.
Joseph
In addendum to Harle's post (we're part of the same group don'tchaknow?), I usually employ my "constant Psi renewal" rule. (Funny that my players never hear of this.) Basically, the characters are continually regaining psi, without having to rest. Granted, it's less this way, but I play fast and loose; the extra psi is often used.-Joseph
CHILL
Renewal of Psi throughout gameplay just seems natural, IMHO. Gives gameplay a dynamic feeling as well as curbing Psi abuse.
Thingmaker
I thought that renewal of PSI throughout gameplay was part of the official rules. Doesn't everybody roll dice=number of temp PSI down in order to recover 1 PSI per success once each hour? Is that a house rule I made up without realizing it? Isn't it in the Core Book?I'm soooooo kunfuzeded! ::cry
Joseph
I think that was only when resting. There is an optional official rule regarding buildup of permanant psi, but it's a bit different.-Joseph
Thingmaker
p237 of the core book doesn't say anything about resting. Of course, it doesn't say anything about not resting, either. I had always interpreted "each hour" as, by golly, each hour.
