Slagheap
In the TPG there is a side bar talking about an optional rule that makes standard Psi Pool Psi x 2, I was just wondering how many people play in or run games that use this rule?-Slag
Joseph
I do (or would) now, but have been doing something similar since the beginning. It allows (in my case) a much more cinematic atmosphere, as long as the players try not to abuse it.-Joseph
Joseph
Going along these lines, does anyone do something like this for Adventure?Harle, Pimp, more to follow on our message boards.-Joseph
Slagheap
Thanks for the imput. I haven't used the doubled pool in my Adventure! game, primarily because I think characters like that shouldn't have to lean to hard on their powers. But, then again the powers that don't use any pool tend to get used alot, so I'm not sure.I realize that the mesmerist kinda get screwed, but for no other reason than just a feeling I get (and I suppose a little metaplot pseudo-science) I wouldn't use double for A!-Slag
Joseph
My group (Harlequin, Pax's Pimp, Communist #666, and Flashmaster Watts) decided to try the double pool for Adventure. Oddly, the three daredevils all have Insp of 5, while the stalwart stands at 3.Anyway, I found people trying to get a little more mileage from their dramatic editing, but it wasn't abusive. Most of the time, they just let things run without the bonuses granted from an Insp expenditure.-Joseph
CHILL
I use the double pool rule as well........although that tends not to help Telepaths any, what with all that Willpower use

Aninemity
need it for what?? i know i don't know much but are you really gonna throw something at your players that would be that big????besides, four straight sessions on just one fight would get terribly old terribly fast! it would bog the game down and be a bit frustrating as a player since it would (playing once a week) take a month for a single fight!!!!!! ::shocked
André
Who said anything about ONE fight? If you constantly use our powers it takes longer to regain quantum, Right? ::smokin ::downmal
operations
We have used double Psi pool since the TPG came out. It's great for core book games, because even if the powers are not as strong, you can use them a lot. With freeform Psi, it's almost required.KT ::withstupid
Slagheap
Since I initally posted this I've started using double pool, and I love it, I don't think I'll ever run another game w/o it.-Slag
