Completing them will get you neat things (thanks to Damon for this idea). A few will be required; most will be volunteer. Saying Goodbye Is So Hard To Do The first one is required. While we wait for the game to get moving, describe what your character is doing on their last day on Earth (if you were assigned off-world at the time you were selected for Atlantis, you were returned home for a week of leave). For the Pegasus native, you'll get another assignment. Neat Thing: You will earn a free dot of Sanctum, to be used upon getting to Atlantis. This is the start of making your new home, and can be your quarters or a more hidden place. If it's your quarters, your room is more lavish than normal, but not necessarily very secure (your quarters will be a matter of 'public' record). If you choose another hidey hole, it can be either lavish or secure, as per the background.
