He always has a cigar in his mouth when he can get away with it, lit or otherwise. He carries himself with the confidence that he thinks he could probably beat the crap out of you if he wanted, but is kind enough to let you live.Background: Vinny grew up in suburban Vegas as the son of a pit boss and former stage dancer. His father Charles was abusive, at least until one fateful day in '93 when Charles started beating on Anthony, Vinny's younger brother. His mother apparently couldn't take it and shot him. His mother is currently serving out her sentence at Southern Nevada. Anthony ran away from foster care shortly after Charles' death in 1993 when he was 14 and hasn’t been seen since. Vinny, refusing to give up his life for his Mother’s 'weakness', had himself emancipated at age 16 before he could be placed in foster care. Through an old friend of his father's, he got himself hired on at Northrup Grumman, spending the next 5 years traveling the globe and learning how to blow up crap or keep it standing when it didn’t want to. While in Kuwait on a job, he attracted the attention of a General after managing to keep a school building from collapse while it was evacuated of personnel and children. The General encouraged him to join the Air Force. Vinny instead told him instead to ‘fuck-off', but the thought stayed with him and when he got back in the states shortly thereafter, he managed to get enrolled in the Air Force Academy. He graduated 4 years later with degrees in Explosives and Civil Engineering, testing out of many credit hours with his existing knowledge in the fields. He was transferred to the Stargate program with a recommendation from Lt General John F. Regni and has been serving since.Personality: Vinny has a strong tendency to talk down to women and isn’t much better with men unless they have garnered his respect. Though at heart he is very protective and has a fierce loyalty to his team, or those he is assigned to serve with. He is fond of breaking out his harmonica (a gift from his father on his 10th birthday) during times of high spirits, i.e. drunk. His aspirations are mostly those you would expect from one of his talent, finding something he can’t blow up, or, barring the first option, a structure that can’t be built.
