Sakurako Hino
I know you get no points for them, and that's not why I'm posting. I'm just throwing out my little rule of thumb regarding them. If you guys like it, run with it. If you don't, it's not official and ignore it thusly.1: You should ALWAYS balance out your merits and flaws.2: Don't paint yourself in a corner. If you got more value in merits than flaws, it might be better to trim a few merits than needlessly grabbing flaws.3: Always remember they are always in use. And a Storyteller will take you to task if you forget.
Courier
I thought we paid for Merits?
Nova OOC
This thread perplexes me.1) Why? Merits are purchased with BP. Flaws do not "earn" more BP for the character.2) No need for balance. See #1.3) Replace "storyteller" with "the other writers" and you're right.
Sakurako Hino
...As far as I knew, the points you got from flaws can be used to purchase merits. But, it looks like I've confused the issue even more here. I'm confused myself.Okay, just re-read the Gold bible... Seems a different system is in play house-rule wise.Luckily the character I'm making is a Q1... Please close this thread at your leisure.
