Aberrant RPG - The Colony

In Trinity there is a powerful nova called The Colony, who is it in aberrant ?

From where a such powerful nova came, is it the new name for Divis Mal or another Nova ??

I'm not sure, but I think Divis Mal took his buddies and went off to create their own Universe. As far as I've heard, there has been no definitive answer as to who the Colony was in the Aberrant Era, or even if the Colony was around back then.

Some rumors I have heard are:

Its Buendia ... his eufiber powers manifested nastily with taint.

Its the survivalist nuts presently down in Antartica.

Possibilities are:

A) Solo Nova:

1) Buendia.

2) Sin Eater.

3) Generic Bozo who just lucked(?) out and was fairly unknown in 2008 (i.e. make up your own).

Groups & Weird Theories

1) Those Devil worshiping idiots pulled off their summons and merged.

2) Eufiber itself became sentiant and large groups of it merged, possibily with the mimic'ed powers.

3) A mimicing nova absorbed several tainted novas.

4) Mal's Eufiber.

5) It's a body jumping quantum disease.

In cannon, we simply don't know. I think there are hints about Buendia although Sin Eater seems to be a better match powerwise (I'll spare you the pro's and con's about both).

If I had to assign probabilities to them I'd go with A3, A1, A2, B1, although since A3 is "unknown" he almost doesn't count.

He also said he put some "unsubtle hints" about this in the PLayer's Guide. I hope that clears things up.

Hello guys.

Very interesting theories... Especially this sentient Eufiber one.

Anyway I don't think authors meant the Colony to be "discovered". In fact the whole Trinityverse is almost completely optionnal: many secrets are never quite revealed, cause WW probably wanted to create a game where GM decides what is wholly true (such as this Slider affair which can be resolved by many ways), and players can change it!

By the way, of course, I have my own assumptions about The Colony:

1) Divis Mal, good candidate, or maybe a darker dopplegänger (just as the Marvel's Sentry/Void relationship).

2) Anibal Buenda... or a part of him at the very least

3) Turncoat. In 2008 he can mimic faces and memories. What could he do a century later?

4) The Ubiquitous Dragon from Adventure. Some people say he died of old age... Could be wrong.

5) Lambert Asani. Father of the new "elite as proxies" war doctrine, in 2008 he's already heavily tainted (9!) and he can control matter. One more good and powerful candidate I think.
