Connor Fontenot wasn't anything extraordinary. He was ten years younger than his eldest brother and five years younger than hi sister. Both of them had been unquestionable members of the "in" crowd. His brother, Ashton, was the captain of the football team and went on to play for McNeese State University. Eventually he lead them to their only natioal championship win. He was a hometown hero. It had been so cool to be the hometown heroe's kid brother, until everyone expected him to turn out the same. His father pushed him to play, but it simply wan't his thing. he was completely average in physical ability, and after a pair of lackluster seasons of playing only three to four times without any major achievement, his father had dropped the issue. His Sister, Katherine, had been a cheerleader and president of the student council. She was popular, smart, and in general fun to be around. She had some success with drawing Connor out of his shell and teaching him how to relate to people. While he wasn't as popular as his sister, he wasn't a faceless nobody. He had a reputation of being someone who made time to help those who asked, and who could be counted on to keep secrets and give good advice.

Connor's area to shine was his intelligence. He excelled in his studies, rarely coming home with less than 95% on his tests or assignments. He'd long ago determined that he would follow his own path, that he'd find his own way. When he was sixteen he met Cassie Hawke. She was, like him, in the school's gifted program. She was quite attractive with an athletic build and long brown hair and soft doe brown eyes. Or rather he'd seen her for the first time. What followed was a series of blunders as he tried to get close to her. Whatever skill he had in dealing with people dissipated totally when he tried to turn any of it towards her. For six months it continued on like that, he'd manage to start off well enough, but somehow he managed to scre up. Finally his sister gave him the most important bit of advice. "Connor, just be your damn self. She hasn't called the cops on you, so she might actually like you." Bolstered by that walked up to her and asked her out the next day. She smiled and commented on how it was about time. Since then they've been a steady couple. They went to their Junior prom together and haven't missed any of the other dances since then.

Connor's elder brother gave him two things. He spent alot of time with him because their dad was always gone, and thus practically raised him. The second was an unending love of giant robots. Back when Ashton was younger, he'd been a fan of Transformers, Voltron and pretty much any show that had giant robots in it. He played the old Battletech boardgame until he got he started high school almost religiously. When Connor was young, he'd sit and watch the shows his brother watched, and eventully his brother taught him how to play battletech after Connor found his old pieces and readouts, and about 2 months of pestering. The collection was passed to Connor after he won his first tournament using them and since then, he's reinvested his winnings in making his force better. He shows impressive skill at drawing "mecha" as it's commonly termed and he actually won two contests for his work. In turn, his designs were turned into actual mechs for the Battletech universe and Mechwarrior game he's so fond of. His love for giant robots is a deep and childish one. Deep down he wishes to be a giant robot pilot, or some sort of transforming giant robot. More than that, he like the message they always conveyed. Good triumphed over evil and humanity for all it's flaws redeemed itself. There were of course exceptions, but generally that was the case. In particular, now that he's grown up, Connor truly enjoys the various Gundam titles. The depth of the characters and amazing artwork and mecha designs draw him to the series like a moth to flame.

Cassie knows all of this and just smiles when she's asked about why she goes out with such a fanboy. "He's a nice person. He isn't like everyone else. There's something more to him than everyone else, and I love him." That her love for him resulted in the current state of things is something that pains the hearts of those that know it. They had been coming home from Operation Clean Sweep, an environmental club outing to help clean up the beaches in Holly Beach down on the Gulf of Mexico. Atop the I-210 bridge a large Sem was passing them and he somehow lost control. He slid over and drove several vehicles into the siderail of the bridge. The driver tried to correct things but only made it worse as the trailer jack-knifed sending Connor's jeep and the small Honda Civic in which Cassie's mother and brother and two other classmates were in over the rail with a second impact. the second impact sent one of the aluinum reflectors through the door and into Cassie's side, shattering two of her ribs and puncturing her right lung. Connor's head snapped around under the impact and he was only vaguely aware of the situation as his door snapped off and his seatbelt released and he was sucked out of the car. All he knew was that he didn't want to die, and even more he didn't want Cassie to die. His head pounded with unbridled fury as he reached out to Cassie as they fell and then he changed. His body became mechanical and he grew to enormous size.giant metallic wing-like thrusters extended from his back as he caught the falling jeep in his hands and cradled it to his chest. His time had run out he couldn't stop the fall. Sensing that he shifted so that he landed on his feet. There was a resounding crash as huge metalshod feet crashed through the water and then the sand beneath it. the metal composing his legs groaned under the stress, but held. A geyser of water sent a small rainbow across the sky as the gian mechanical man held his prize tightly. Inside the vehicle Cassie stirred, and found herself looking into the golden eyes of her saviour, forty some-odd feet from the ground. She smiled and fell back into unconsciousness. It was a lucky break that the hospital was so near by and an ambulance was there withnin a minute. He stood there and it was only when he saw the EMT's tending to Cassie's wounds that he calmed down enough to return to his normal form. His once grey eyes however remained a bright golden hue. He was a nova now, gifted with the power to make his dreams a reality.

The following week he spent receiving treatment for his erruption and he pretty much slept at Cassie's side in the hospital. On the third day she finally realized her mother and brother weren't there, it broke her spirit. Connor blamed himself, that he couldn't save them both. She pulled her to him to her and told him that it wasn't his fault, that he was all she had left now. They began making plans that night for an important decision. When she was deemed well enough to go home, She did so, to find that Connor had done his part and moved in like he said he would. He would be her family now. He'd taken the spare bedroom, his collection of gaming books and miniatures along with no shortage of toys and action figures standing and in some instances hangingabout the room. It was exactly like she remembered it from all the times they'd sat in his recliner watching something from his massive anime and movie collection, and of course making out. His computer and the massive solid oak desk was in the corner, all in all it was identical to the setup of his room. What was more, it was across the hallway from her own room.

For the past month they've lived together hapily as Cassie gets over her injuries and they attend school. Connor receives an inordinate amount of mail and he's even received several invites to some of the major conventions. He's quickly realized he'll need a job to help pay for things, the insurance covered Cassie's bills and the house and her car were paid for, but it would be some time before she could get the life insurance money that her family had had. When one of the offers mentioned compensation for his time and rights to merchandising, he takes it and calls. From there he was contracted to appear at several conventions where he would pose to allow for the convention goes to take pictures with him as he took the forms of various giant robots. The first three day convention netted him six thousand dollars. He knew he could get more, but he also knew the convention was a small one. At the larger ones he'd make more. He return home to Cassie and so far has done his best to have a normal life as any other eighteen year old guy. Well as normal as life gets for a nova.

Known displayed abilities

Connor can become a seemingly mechanical being at will. Further, he can alter his form to that of whatever he chooses. Most commonly he's become some sort of giant robot. his physical strength in this for lets him easily lift over 100 metric tons. He also posesses flight capabilities and limited offensive talents, seemingly an afterthought. In either form a sword materializes in his hands, which he wields like an extension of his own arm. Connor also seems to be quite resistant to physical damage in his giant mechanical form and capable of healing his injuries.

I am in the process of typing up an episode Guide for Gundam Superior. I can write much faster and did so when I was inspired. Unfortunately that means if I want to share, I have to actually type it all up.

Episode 1 Familiar Descent

The colony forces attack, saboteurs having neutralized the defense net protecting the Earth. They drop Five armies and seven space/bluewater capable navies to the earth with in excess of three million ground troops and support personnel. It is a full-scale invasion that cates the United Earth Alliance unawares. All but three knownAlliance bases are taken out in the early days of the attack. The Armories in Beijing, Sydney, New York, San Francisco, and Gibraltar are all sacked and destroyed. The researd and devlopment branch 5121 in Tokyo mobilizes it's latest creation, the Yggdrassill in an attempt to prevent its research from falling into enemy hands. While traveling east off the Islands The Yggdrassil is spotted by a battallion of Amur class battle tanks. The Yggdrassill begins ECM procedures immediately and is forced to Release it's own secret weapon to deal with the tanks before they escape the jamming field. The Launch of the Superior Gundam marks the first use of a mobile suit in at least three decades. The Superior annihilates the entire tank battallion in a matter of minutes, but a lack of real combat experience on the part of its pilot renders him unable to continue and the Superior Deactivates. The Yggdrassil is forced to retrieve the mobile suit and discovers a survivor peering into cockpit at the unconscious pilot. Captain Minamori, in a controversial mood takes the enemy officer prisoner instead of simply executing her as a witness to state secrets. It is revealed and confirmed in the final moments that the prisoner and the mobile suit pilot are siblings.

Episode 2 Choices

The colony forces begin consolidating thier forces and rebuilding the fortresses they destroyed. On the orders of Executive officer Hidan, the prisoner Shizuru Sigan, is implanted with a memory governor chip which will erase her mind if she attempts to flee. Upon learning that it is his sister, the pilot, Akira Sigan, demands that she be released and the chip removed. Tomoe Sakade, the Operations chief for the ship goes to talk with them both. She speaks of their bond as siblings. Akira is needed here on the ship, and Shizuru Sigan, his sister was also needed here. Akira reaffirms this vehemently, but it's the look in Tomoe's eyes that convices Shizuru to stay. Her memory chip is removed and she becomes a part of the crew. She is not allowed to carry any form of weapon and her access to key files is heavily restricted, but she is a productive member of the bridge crew. This episode itroduces the remainder of the bridge crew Naviagtor Akane Kurosawa, Weapons officer Souichiro Taikii Executive officer Tomoru Hidan, and a brief picture of Mizuki in the Computer core.

Episode 3 Repairs of Heart and Body

The Superior needs extra hands to repair it and Akira is tapped for his mechanical abilities. It is the first look at the almost organic insides of the Superior and the episode that took the longest to shoot due to the intensive use of Mech's abilities to heal himself as parts of his flesh were actually removed to show the inner workings of the Gundam Superior. There is a scene where the Superior is forced to move to another gantry to finish it's refit and it's actually Connor injured and all doing so. This episode if no other showed brought the cast together as it showed just how far he'd go to make it reality. Chief Engineer Iruka Kimamoto makes his first appearance here, guiding the work crews repairing the Superior. By the end of the episode the entire bridge crew is in the bay sweating along-side the maintenence chief to bring the Superior back to pristine condition. The episode ends with Everyone in grime covered coveralls and the ship going to condition red for an imminent attack.

Episode 4 Power of the Children

The episode begins with the ship being rocked by a barrage of cannon fire from the third Colony Fleet. Everyone clears the floor and Akira climbs up the Gantry into the cockpit of the Superior and immeiately sorties. Just as he leaves the ship's catapult an explosion rocks the ship near the hangar and the emergency bulkheads fall into place, preventing the crew from making it to the bridge. Mizuki asks to be allowed to enter "Full Oversight" mode and Captain minamori reluctantly agrees. Mizuki is shown having wires plug directly into her hands feet and back as she makes contact and takes full control of the Yggdrassil. Once in control she begins pinpoint defense of the ship and extremely precise evasive maneuvers. Akira meawhile gets the Superior in close to one of the dsetroyers attacking and destroys the turrets, silencing the ship with minimal casualties. Mizuki focuses on escaping, but is forced to returen fire when the fleet begins to target already weakened portions of the Yggdrassil's armor, specificly the hangar area where the rest of the bridge crew is. The Heavy laser cannon turrets open fire, joined by dozens of missiles and a quartet of heavy rail cannons to savage the Colony Flagship Kaguya. The last rail shot snaps the Kaguya's spine sinking her in a caphacony of warping metal and explosions of fire and water. The return fire from the Fleet was staggering, , blowing off one of the Cannon turrets completely and severely damaging the portside engine. Akira sees this and merges with the Thor battle comuter in the Superior for the first time. In a matter of minutes the Superior totally disables all communications and offensive capabilities of the four remaining ships. The affair leaves Akira nearly unconscious when he finally makes it back to the hangar which seals after he practically crashes the mobile suit into the deck. The crew finally manages to make it to the bridge where they find Mizuki pale, shivering on the floor, and cradling her limp right arm. They rush her to the medical bay as Iruka and his team pry an unconscious Akira from the Superior. Shizuru sits between both of their beds as the machines monitor them. Her last words "Captain, they're just children!" said to Captain Minamori over the com-link and her response "We had no choice." Closes the episode with a promise of a showdown between the two women.
