Aberrant: Dead Rising - Adam "The Bomb" Jeffries

Adam "The Bomb" Jeffries was an auto mechanic and tow truck driver in Primm, NV, about twenty miles outside of Vegas. He did the occasional sailing on Lake Mead, and drove into the city on the weekends to spend time with his little sister Rebecca, a single mother, and his niece Julia. When the plague started making its way around the world, it was just his luck to be on a parts run the next morning into the city. He picked up Becky and Julia and brought them back to Primm with them. When the I-15 got snarled up from the panicked drivers, he packed everything he could into his pickup and trailer, and took the back roads up into the mountains.

Joining up with other survivors, they fortified up around a spring near Mount Charleston. For the first few weeks, everything went fine. Adam's truck, with some extra plates welded on for security, was driven down to the city outskirts for supply runs, and the worst happened. Adam was bitten. But instead of turning into a zombie, his wound cauterized itself, and he immolated the zombie that bit him and teleported his entire truck back to the ranch.

With his new powers, Adam found himself courted by the leaders (and most of the eligible women). For the next few months, everything was going fine. Then the zombie attacks started to come more frequently, and in greater numbers. Small breaches started occuring in the fortifications, and then one day multiple breaches. The survivors fought back as best they could, with Adam pushing himself to the utmost, but he still couldn't destroy more than a handful at a time. When they reached the building, he turned and ran, arriving in time to save Julia, but too late to save Rebecca. Straining himself to the point of injury, he opened a teleport to the only possible safe place he could imagine - Waikiki beach.

Adam shaves his head bald, though these days there's usually a few days of dark stubble on his head and face. His blue eyes were covered behind shades that are undoubtably floating away on the ocean waves. He's dressed in jeans, a tourist t-shirt from the Mirage, some Army surplus steel-toes, and a battered trench-coat. Appearing with him is his niece, Julia, a nine-year old girl wearing dirty green sweats and very worn sneakers. Other than their clothes, and a worn stuffed lion clutched tightly by the little girl, they have nothing left after their last-minute teleport halfway across the Pacific.
