I'm just trying to explain to others the situation that I suspect our original poster was in. If he's adjusted himself to fitting into baseline society as an entertainer, and doesn't want to hemorrhage money trying to keep psychotic fans away, and be surrounded by bodyguards all the time, dorming down might be the way to go.
