Description: A normally slightly disheveled-looking Indian man in his mid-twenties, handsome in a sort of "mad scientist" way, he nearly always has a few days stubble, his hair has rarely ever met a comb, he has a permanently distracted look on his face and pockets stuffed full of pens, paper and rulers.

Publicly Known Facts: Alpha is a PhD in Mathematics who erupted with an innate understanding of everything numerical and how it relates to the world. He has been quoted as describing his perception of the world as being "patterns of numbers". He has also stated various times that he can accurately predict future events or deduce past ones with mathematical calculations, and although this claim is not widely believed, Utopia and other organizations have employed him for "studying trends" and he seems to have performed exceptionally well, as well as making millions in the stock market in his free time.

However, most of his efforts are directed towards a rather esoteric goal. He believes that a God created and maintains order in the universe, and that His nature can be deduced from the order of the universe through a complex calculation he refers to as the Divine Equation, that he says to have grasped as he erupted, but did not manage to remember after the fact. This has led him to study all manner of sciences and travel round the world taking odd measurements, predicting trends, solving problems and collecting all sorts of data, with which he hopes to be able to build the Equation. Most rational people think eruption drove him mad, possibly through Quantum Backlash Syndrome, but he is actually quite lucid, rational, and even amiable most of the time, and defends his quest as a completely reasonable and rational endeavor, simply the ultimate expression fo traditional science.
