Known Quantum Powers: Though almost completely harmless, the sporadic and unpredictable manifestations of Motley's unique quantum abilities are nevertheless visually disturbing, and have been described by witnesses as "looking something like a Dadaist rendition of the Big Bang painted while eating mushrooms soaked in mescaline." She seems to unconsciously project images either into her immediate vicinity, or else directly into the minds of those with whom she interacts, and apparently has difficulty distinguishing between the "real" world and the "surreal" visions she creates. At times, she can also blur that distinction for those around her, drawing them into perplexing and incredible hallucinations that confuse and distort their perceptions. Her appearance, too, changes apparently at random to suit her mood or for no discernible reason at all; she has even been reported to glow, though descriptive accounts of her powers vary widely. To the delight of many a child, and the faint horror of onlookers, she has occasionally displayed the ability to create tangible manifestations of her "illusions," leading more than a few to speculate uncomfortably on how very fine the line betwixt fantasy and reality really is.
