Known Appearance: 'Alexander' is a tall young man with an athletic, symmetrical body. His long blond hair possesses a burnished gold tone, highlighted further by the glow of his aura. Sapphire eyes and even white teeth shine from the flawless light-bronze skin of his face. His body is constantly surrounded by a swirling hazy nimbus of golden light, reminiscent of afternoon sunlight, which only fades when he has taxed himself to exhaustion. When his abilities are in use, lens-flares and motes of golden light spark and shimmer around his body, appearing and disappearing within the aura of light.

Known Powers:

Alex's manifestation somehow permits the young nova to absorb and store solar/stellar radiation, as well as catalyse other forms of electromagnetic and nuclear energies (heat, light, fire, electricity, etc) into sunlight within the individual cells of his body. It's theorised that this catalysation process takes place within an unusual membrane around every cell of his body. Each individual cell is capable of holding at least Restricted! of energy in this fashion, making each one a tiny, individually-weak Sun.

Using this energy, Alex can fly, and generate enormous heat by inducing the stored power to lase through the lenses of his eyes (see attached file Physiological Changes: Alexander Andrews ), as well as releasing the stored energy through other means. Theoretical measurements place the top end of his output at roughly Restricted!, which is about half the surface temperature of our Sun. His cellular cohesion is tremendously enhanced, giving him a massive resistance to physical injury. We further postulate that he can utilise his stored energy in other ways defined by the changes we have seen in his cellular structure, but he has yet to develop further outward manifestations of this.

All of these changes bear a price, however. At 'full-charge', Mr Andrews actually radiates moderate-intensity solar radiation, essentially bleeding off sunlight from each cell. Whilst not extreme, prolonged close (within a few feet) contact with Mr Andrews would be roughly equivalent to the same amount of time spent exposed to a hot summer sun. Tanning, sunburn, and a potential risk of melanoma could result if care is not taken.

There is also a danger to Mr Andrews himself from this energy-bleed. If he does not get sufficient System Warning! Security Penetration detected and traced! Initiating I.C.!

History: Unknown. There is no data at all on this nova other than the fact he was found near the epicenter of the Victoria Crush, having apparently erupted to survive that ordeal. The problem of identification has been compounded a hundredfold by the fact that his fingerprints, dental records, and even DNA don't match up with any database, most likely due to the complete remapping of his body during Eruption. The remapping has extended to his mind, leaving this nova a blank slate when he was first found.

Solar Powered: Alex is solar powered, if kept in darkness for too long he begins to bleed energy at the rate of one point per 10 minutes. When his quantum reserves reach zero he lapses into a coma. If he is exposed to low levels of light (flashlight, light bulb in a sewer hall) he will not bleed energy but cannot regain energy until he is once again exposed large amounts of light (well lit room, stadium lights) in these conditions he regains energy at half his normal rate. Only under sunlight can he regain his reserves of energy at the full rate (moonlight also counts, as it is reflected solar energy).

Special Effect

Summer's Mantle - Alex doesn't smell like a normal person, even for a nova. His very presence is a reminder of summer in more ways than the obvious glow and warmth. When happy or content, he gives off a fresh, clean scent similar to sun-warmed flowers, grass and fruit ripening on the tree. When angry or sad, the scent becomes harsh and dry, like a desert wind over heated bare rock.

Psychological Profile: Alexander Andrews

Initial Results:

Alex Andrews is for the most part a textbook ENFP (Extroverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving) personality type, being introspective, values-oriented rather than focused on goals and achievements, innately gifted in inspiring/motivating others due to his own passion for projects he undertakes, as well as being socially adept and extremely expressive. ENFPs are natural advocates, with excellent people skills deriving from their warmth, energy and positivity. Their social impact is born of their genuine liking for others rather than any need to control or impose their will on surrounding personalities.

Experts characterise ENFPs as both "idea" and "people"-people, whose basic perceptions regard everyone and everything as part of a cosmic whole, in addition to being greatly energised around other people. There is a curious and highly intriguing parallel in Mr Andrew's case with regards to his quantum expression, which links him inexorably to the source of all life: sunlight.
