Xiao Huang stubbornly refused to name the father, but everyone in her circle of friends and family suspected the quiet businessman who had been coming around. Without warning, Huang left Hong Kong shortly after Saori's birth, cutting off contact with family and friends alike. She resurfaced in Tokyo with a three-month old Saori. She had adopted the nickname Miko in an attempt to blend into Japanese culture. She moved into a small house in Tokyo, which she kept without acquiring a job. She devoted herself to raising her daughter - and to entertaining the quiet businessman who still visited.Saori grew up aware that she was a half-Chinese bastard, but she didn't really care. She still had her circle of close friends and a doting mother. Her father was more distant, but she still received gifts and attention from him when he was around. At thirteen, one of Saori's friends began to see an older man, who granted her gifts in exchange for her company. Saori saw this as a nature extension of her parents' relationship, and she prowled for, and found, her own older boyfriend.The compensated dating went well for the materialistic young woman until one of her dates demanded more than some company. Unwilling to go quite that far, Saori fought him, and erupted. She was thinking of the power of a dragon, yet she changed into the feminine aspect, the Fenghuang. She had no overt powers, but she did have slashing claws. But her greatest weapon was her ability to make her offending date feel shame - so much shame that he attempted suicide, forcing her to rescue him.Since then, Saori has gained a little fame. She has found out just how influential father is; his power has allowed her to step out into the public as much as or as little as she wants.
