Background: Barton Sears is a second-generation Nova, son of an unknown nova and a latent mother. From a young age, he exhibited Nova qualities, such as testing an IQ of 150 by the age of 5. He was very interested in the goings-on of the world, and could more often be found watching the news than more normal channels for his age. By the time he was 7, he already had a fostering bitterness for the way Novas were treated by baselines. He carefully hid his resentment, as he blazed through school, having been put through many accelerated programs due to his exceptional IQ. Unlike one would be led to rationally believe, he had many friends, despite his young age compared to his peers. True, there were the ones that made fun of him, but for the most part he got along with people. The one time he was physically attacked by a couple of bullies, they suddenly found themselves pinned to the ground, their bodies suddenly many times heavier than usual.

He graduated High School at the age of 12, valedictorian of the class, and with top honors. However, there was a flip side to things. Throughout his years in high school, he had been gaining money through...controversial means, at best. Like all schools, his had a thriving black market of fake reports, illicit drugs, etc. Through careful manipulation and planning, he slowly took over a large portion of it, amassing a decent amount of money for himself.

In the years after, his doings became very secret, and he dropped off the radar almost entirely. He slowly seemed to disappear for the most part from the records, any negative portions of his life just falling out of the system. He came back into society around the age of 26, having mysteriously acquired a large sum of money. His resentment for baselines was no longer hidden, but fully out in the open. His goals resembled that of the Teragen, in that he wanted to make Novas completely seperate from baselines, and their foolish laws. However, he looked upon the Teragen with scorn, viewing them as unorganized, undisciplined batch of fools that will never achieve their goals. He also has a more...extremist position than most Terats. He not only thinks that those baselines that try to subject Novas to their will should be punished, but also those Novas who are willing to allow themselves to be subjugated. However, he doesn't just run around killing people. He works nonviolently, until he is provoked. Should he be goaded, though, woe be unto the object of his wrath.

Side Note: I intend this character to be an active villan in the storyline, and a limited consent character. He won't go out of his way to harm the other characters. But, should they decide to meddle in his affairs and try to overthrow his agenda, he will mercilessly deal with the threat. However, if the characters don't do anything too overt, he won't concern himself with it unless it has the chance to pose a signifigant threat to his plans. I also, for the purposes of IC advancement and better story possibilities, hereby waive this characters consent, on the aforementioned condition that if anyone decides to get in his business too much, he is allowed to correct the infraction made against him. I do not feel that this is an unreasonable request, and I give the moderators full permission to monitor the doings of my character, and if they feel that my character is overstepping his bounds and violating the terms set forth in this statement, that they bring the issue to me, and attempt to rectify it peaceably. Should it be impossible to come to an agreement on the issue, that section of the post will be rendered null and void, and be edited as such.
