Aberrant: The Middle Children of History - [OOC] MCoH OpNet: Rules *READ THIS FIRST!*

Recommended Posts

As you may notice, we have an OpNet subforum now. Yay us! Here's how this thing works:

1. OpNet posts are considered to be postings on secured forums in which the posters have been confirmed, somehow, to actually be novas. Confirmation may be by having dots of Influence in a nova organization, dots of Fame as a nova, or some other means (maybe a quantum ping by a cyberkinetic sysop). If you're playing a baseline, no posts for you. If you're playing a psiad... well, check with the Mods and see if whatever finagle you're using has been enough to sneak you in the door (public identity as a nova, cyberkinetic dabbling, etc).

2. There are boards other than the main OpNet board. These boards are maintained by various factions. You must have at least one dot of Influence in a faction to post in their board. When you do, preface the subject line in your post with the faction, such as:

[Teragen] Who Else Here Hates Those Damned Utopians?

You can even have posts in subfactions, if you have at least one dot of Influence in the subfaction, such as:

[Teragen-Harvesters] Who Else Here Has Eaten One of Those Damned Utopians?

If you are not a member of a particular faction, I'd recommend not reading posts on said faction's boards. If you are caught using OOC knowledge from one of those posts IC'ly, the Mods will take appropriate action (ranging from a warning and removal of posts using the knowledge to desanctioning of your character).

3. All posts in the OpNet (except this one) are In-Character; if you need to talk OOCly, make a thread in the main MCoH forums.

4. All posts in the OpNet are subject to Moderator review. If you post something out here that is out-of-bounds info, like "Divis Mal is actually Doctor Primoris, and he is fighting against the secret sterilization scheme put into place by Project Proteus despite the wishes of his Aeon Society love-buddy Maxwell Mercer!", the Moderators reserve the right to remove the post (and in the above example, boot you in the head). Keep it within bounds, folks.

And that's it. Have fun!
