He was always a bit off his rocker though, constantly extolling the virtues of grapefruit and spending all of his free time promoting them. When the headaches started his wife asked him to see a doctor but it was harvest season and his fruits needed him. After seven days of headaches Ralph erupted when one of his beloved grapefruits squirted him in the eye with an acidic blast of juice. Suddenly he was transformed into a (humanoid) grapefruit. Though he was quickly able to master his powers he found that soon nobody could look at him without laughing and that his wife and his buyers did not take him seriously. The divorce ruined him as the court awarded nearly all of their assets to his wife. A broken man(fruit) Ralph fell in with other such fallen novas as the Guava and Mangoman, eventually forming the Fruity Five. The Fruity Five broke up after less than a year citing different growing and ripening seasons.
