But as Infinity grew older, it was clear that she would be late meeting those expectations; when she was fifteen, everyone had given up on her. Angry and depressed, Infinity tried to accept her lack of ability. She had a node, a massive node, but no powers. She was utterly useless. There were those who accepted her as a nova, but she hated what she saw as their pity. Infi retains her ties to the Cult of Mal, but she remains far away from them. In a way, she considers this to be for their safety. She's useless, and would only be a danger. Plus, she's bad luck. It's best if she stays away, away from her beloved Mal. Quirks Ugly Girl: This aberration is taken voluntarily for flavor. It is caused by Infinity's quantum expressing her self-esteem by making everyone within three meters of her appear one dot higher in Appearance than they are. She doesn't see this effect.
