Aberrant: Ba'alt Re: Of Flesh and Future

Interesting. That Eve is in some way admitting fear or worry/anxiety about this situation points to a deeper issue here. She knows something that perhaps she is not telling us or cannot tell us. Meaning that she might not be able to tell us, form the words that is. Could this be something against her programming in some manner?

Also, is there anyway we can 'guestimate' how hard it might be for Rama to solo the interface in StarHaven?

Eve is not bound by any programming.

And as far as determining how hard it might be for Rama to interface, well he can do it easily until and if any of the security gets triggered. In that event the power comes with MULTIPLE hackers in the system, thus the reason why Eve said she and he might be needed.

I would be against her going. If we don't pull this off, she is the only one of the contacts to get us sprung from the outside and she is currently carrying around our secret weapon in side of her. Add that to her nervous treatment of the idea, and Smite is going to be inclined against asking here to come along.

Besides if we manage to trigger security, we should be more concerned with escape than anything else.

Doc would rather risk a wasted trip than Eve being caught.

Smite, what does "...his shadow trailed half a step behind him. So he was dressed as if he were a Primal, as his affliction would hardly be out of the question." mean? Smite has picked up an aberration?

Indeed, Smite does seem to have developed another aberration. His image, or a shadow, reflection of it, is trailing behind him at all times. It is not discernible when he is still but the faster he moves, the more "trailing images" there are behind him.
Him saying he is dressed like a Primal is rather moot; Primals here will usually hide their presence and if they don't hide, they will usually exude an arrogance or authority all their own that usually fends off the lowly mortals. I am taking Smite's comment on dressing like on, since they really don't dress like anything odd or different, as him really just owning his actions and really putting on the layers and layers of intimidation and confidence.
He can however be all done up in some royal regalia or some such.

I am here btw. RL has been picking up for me, and I am trying to streamline my processes and get more efficient...I cant just be online all day like I used to...

Does Smite's aberration look anything like the main badguy from Chronicle's of Riddick?

I view it as such but perhaps Smite could elaborate if it is otherwise.

It looks slightly less sinister than that, but it is similar. Have you ever seen a comic were the speedster seems to be 3 or 4 places at once. Imagine if that was a snap shot.

Assuming Eve is not coming with us (I have not seen a definitive tell of that yet), who else is inhumanly good with computers? Glean is abnormally "good" with them; I have a total of 9 dots plus one mega dot 11 AP's all told I think, in Computer Technics and Operations. I know its not really super human by any means, not compared to cyberkinesis, but if Rama is not here in StarHaven we would ahve made another plan as to who is gonna be the point man.

What is everyone elses Compter use rating or who might we use as substitute for Rama or Eve.

Indeed, Eve is staying behind.

Also, Kara and Eve would ahve shared with you all a absic layout of StarHaven so as to prevent you from getting lost. IN this case, after a brief exploration to get your bearings and to develop some referrence points, you can basically state to which are you want to go.

Hello everyone. Sorry for the absense. I am also not comfortable with Eve staying alone. I think that maybe she should stay with some of my people in the Void or possibly with my Mom. My mother is not interested in Galactic affairs as much as my grandfather and father. She is over the Star Haven thing... This is just a suggestion. I just think Star Haven is some where the whole group should experience.

Rama is going to StarHaven btw.

Rama's Mega Int makes him frighteningly effective with computers, though his actual experience with them in this environment is minimal. He can quickly adapt however. His Dice Pool is equal to 6 plus 5 Megas...23 APs in total. shockedB)

Eve is not with the troupe and instead has locked herself away in a secure location and has said you all need to contact her when you arrive to allow for her return.

IS this a broadacast to the whole team? Narrator made it sound like it earlier. If it is, I definately will have something to say.

I imagined Rama's original checking in with Crumble to be private...you know how its polite to be discreet when you see someone feeling ill. But in light of his last response, Chronos may want to "open up the floor" so to speak.

Being based on Lonn (PaxCon) Tech, it is as secure as it can be, prolly around AP 18 in security.

The one thing I can think of is that this is big and bad's creation isn't it? So if he dies, wouldn't it go with him?

There are a couple trains of thought regarding StarHavens creation. One is of course that Ba'laan made it and it is full of all the Iruaric technology from his home existance Ba'alt. The logic of this is that it is simply too powerful to have not been made by any other means.
The second thought by some is that it was made by the Sianetic Harbingers (first sentients that then created all other sentients) in this universe the Ka'ta'viir. Being that The Ka'ta'viir were indeed here before anyone else adn some even say they witnessed the forming of the Universe, the only logical thing to conclude is that they were themselves created by the Iruar.

Both trains of thought could contains a string of truth because the fact of the matter is that both Ba'laan and the Ka'ta'viir are products of the power of the Iruar.

Did we not already talk about the fact that the ban id B&B's making also and it might not go away if he does? What makes us reason that Starhaven might well pass away if he does?
I like to think that this place was here before he was but he just used it for somethign not necessarily good and tainted its name..

The age of the thing. At a guess, Big and Bad made his move about 5 decades ago, which matches the age of this place.

True, but so what? If B&B brought it here, or recreated it, or even if it's just a piece of his power maintaining it's existence in the here and now, then taking him out takes it out.

How could/should Doc research here? He's not a cyber-K, or a telepath, or even a tallented hacker. He's great with medicine and temporal physics and pretty good with engineering... but I'm at a loss on how to bring those to bear. Surf the web? Can we do that openly?

Sorry for the mistake Doc. Kara knows not to make the mistake but like all documented items... this mistake is now concrete.

The blessings in this aspect were physical enhancements. I am afraid to describe more in detail because ST may do something really evil like he tends to do when too much good is present.

This station has been attacked many times over. There was an all out war between the existences and the station was bombarded by spacecraft. It was rebuilt after the last time. I don't recall the details but ST has them archieved somewhere in his web.

There are info terminals and AI assistants that one can employ for various research or tasks. Imagine how one researches here if he comes from a place where computers are not.
