Wakinyan Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 The N.O.A.A., N.W.S. and FEMA have approached me this week with an offer to help deal with spring weather event throughout the great plains. It will be a per weather event basis. Any tornado or severe weather advisories issued by the National Weather Service will be routed to me. I am not one to deny the will of the weather however this is a positive step in land right negotiations with the government that the Tribes are involved in and the pay they are offering is an excellent supplement to the grants and improvement projects my wife and I have began. Being a Terat gave them pause but as I am in no means a government representative in this duty it was agreed that politics were overridden by the good this relationship offers on both sides of the table.
