Power Level: 8

Starting Power Points: 100

Maximum Trade offs: +3/-3

Prohibited/Restricted Feats: Jack of All Trades - don't even think it; Improved Crit - limited to 2 ranks; Luck - 1 rank

Prohibited Archetypes: It should go without saying, but no Aliens, robots, magic, etc., etc.

Special Rules: Benefit Feat and Wealth. I don't want to get into the full wealth system. As appropriate for your character background however points should be spent on Wealth to indicate extraordinary financial stability. No points spent means any standard of living up to middle class with each rank of Wealth stepping one grade higher. 1 Rank being hundred of thousands of dollars a year, 2 ranks = single millions, 3, 10s of millions, 4 = 100's of millions etc. Regardless of your Wealth any stand out items (homes, cars, weapons) need to be purchased with the Equipment feat.

Age limits: the game will start in late April 2010 putting character ages between 19 and 20

Character Basics: Everything in The Event is common knowledge to the PCs. Likewise all PCs are members of the Indigo Network (you'll need to make up a login/screen name). All PCs live in NYC though you need not have grown up there (many families moved away from NYC over the years). PCs should at a minimum know each other via the Network if not face to face though FtF relationships are encouraged as they will make the PCs more loyal to each other.

Submission: Submit complete character's only. Period. Characte's should be submitted by PM to this account with the PM subject formatted as [indigo] {character name}.

Complications:

All players should provide at least two potential plot hooks/complications to the ST. An example would be a dependent NPC (like Jordan's sister), a non-favorable status (such as being a wanted criminal, or a condition of some kind (being an alcoholic, a compulsive gambler, prone to blackouts, a phobic, etc)

These will help to do 2 things: 1) Provide story hooks & deepen the character. 2) Allow the ST a way to provide Hero Points during the game by adding RP challenges. (the compulsive gambler trails a criminal into a casino, the dependent NPC is kidnapped, etc)

Note: Complications are described on pg 122-123 of the book for those who want to read more.
