Wakinyan
I was glancing through a game magazine last night and saw small snipet on Aberrant d20 coming out. The thing that got me was that the cover art is the same as the old versions. This doesn't bother me but I am wondering now how much new (if any) artwork there will be in the new books. Granted it is a cost saving measure to not add to much new art but I'd still like to see a little bit. Just a thought.
Matt
The artwork & setting will primarily be the same stuff from the Storyteller version. It's primarily a rules update. If you go into this expecting something entirely new, you will be very disappointed.
Wakinyan
I go into it expecting that 90% of it will just be the same old thing. I would just like to see a little more story advancement and a little new art for it is all.
Matt
There will be some minor tweaks, but nothing major. Since they are resetting Aberrant back to 2008, there won't be any story advancemeent. Trinity is the only book to pick up where the Storyteller version left off.
Wakinyan
You know I was kinda hoping it would pick up where it left off but I guess that would add a lot more to the book.
Ian Watson
There will be some minor setting changes to Aberrant.Trinity's getting some background changes (to account for the Aberrant setting, which hadn't been developed when Trinity first came out). It's not picking up quite where it left off, it's getting set back to 2122, so the Upeo will be playable.
Matt
Thanks for the input Ian. What I'm curious about is that if there is enough interest in the line to support more supplements, how do you think they'll handle that? Will they continue to rehash old material, ignore future plot lines, or go in a new direction?
