[OpNet] It's finally official...

Well, it's taken a few weeks of paperwork (well, in my case paperless work) and legal enquiry, but the long wait is over. I'm now officially a member of Project Utopia's Quantum Phenomena Investigation Unit, apparently known colloquially around Utopia's offices as the "X-Files Department".

Yes, Jack, that whole "see the sights" advice was slightly amusing, considering I'd already had that thought a while back. According to the spiel they gave me, this job's supposed to take me to plenty of places.

I quite look forward to the first assignment. As well as the new office they promised me. I move in to PU-Central Offices next Tuesday, and my luggage, knowing Airlines, should arrive in a few weeks...

Glad you found it amusing, Sydney. I gotta tell you though; it wasn't traveling the world, cultural differences or seeing the local architecture that I was talking about. Considering what seems an irreconcilable difference between your views and mine the advice was intended for you to gain insight into something which appears to pervade the societies of the world and isn't all that pretty.

Good luck on the new job though. I actually thought about working for the uppies but decided against it. Not that they were all the keen to have me on the team to begin with. Apparently my views don't mesh well with theirs either.

:P

Oh..........goody.

Yes another Nova insisting on learning from their own mistakes as opposed to others.

Have fun Sydney.

Yet another hound enters the fray.

Remember, Dr. Holland, you will be building that 'Better Tomorrow' on the bones of your brothers and sisters. In time, maybe you will see the light of your own pure potential and the fallacy of working for baseline masters.

Congrats, Doc. There are alot of good folks at Utopia. Are you going to be doing field research or be the wonk that gets the information flowing back to them?

Laugh about the luggage all you want, photon-boy. It isn't like changing your clothes is going to be that much of a challenge.

Any word from Alex? It has been a while since I have heard from him.

Well, I suppose field research is the best way to put it. I'm told the unit's Opnet subsite has all the relevant details.

Alex apparently decided to go for a "break from Reality" by touring Europe. The last postcard I got from him was from Berlin, a day or so ago. He's apparently been all around East Europe, so now he's working on seeing West Europe.
