David 'Dr. Troll' Smith
Hey there. Just got back from another mission, and this one paid more than all my previous ones combined. )Basically I was hired to go somewhere and do something (::cough:: non discourser agreement )There was another nova there on the opposite side. He sent me several messages (runners with letters) describing what he was going to do to me, real XWF type stuff. I ignored the first two (thinking, "yeah, right, whatever") but on the third one I sent it back with a "time I'm going to be there" response. He wasn't there. My mission was a success and I never did run into him.I guess my question is, how standard was this?
Fortune's Son
Not in my line but then I don't do front line combat unless the mission falls apart to begin with.I've heard about it happening though. I think it's the Elite equivalent of "talking trash" and used to psych-out an opponent. Nobody is better at it than Totentanz. Why don't you send him a card telling him how much you're looking forward to seeing him next time.
Sakurako Hino
:big stupid grin:hehe. That does sound like the good ol' T-Man. But yeah, I think that was a psyche out. The guy was trying to scare you, since you are a new 'lite. I'll probably get the same treatment as soon as I can get through the training regimen I'm in. Although I don't mind. I'm toning up quite nicely, and my instructors have been impressed at my performance. Although the compliments come between "DROP AND GIVE ME 100!" orders. But, I'm a big girl I can take that. Can't wait to prove my value soon. LET'S DO THIS!

I'll probably just give him the benefit of the doubt. He does have a higher rating than I. Maybe he got lost. Besides, even if the three of me did scare him off, what would be the point? I might have to work with him in the future, or my brother might end up marrying his sister or something.
