Blue Thunder
In Hidden Agendas there is a section on high ranking officials from each order. Every one of these high ranking induviduals eventually get explained in greater detail in each order's book.Well the high ranking officials in Hidden Agendas for the Ministry don't match any of the persons in Asia Ascendant's Dramatis Personae section like the other books do. In fact, there are five officials (besides Bue Li) in Hidden Agendas and only three in AsAs. And none of the names match.I'm assuming this means that all of the information in Hidden Agendas for the Ministry is false, like Trinity says it suspects in the introduction to the Ministry section of the chapter. Since the section on high ranking officials in Hidden Agendas is from the perspective of a Trinity datafile and the Ministry likes secrecy this would be a logical explanation. But there is no mention of this in AsAs whatsoever so I'm confused. Was this a mistake on the developers' part or is the information in Hidden Agendas meant to be misleading/fake? Ayre el KaBeer
I'd say it was a mistake, it's quite common in the aeon books unfortunately. Still if i had to pick which one to use as a guideline I'd stick to AsAs, hiden agendas is a nice little suplement but really doesn't have enough overall info. Blue Thunder
Actually I thought Hidden Agendas had a lot of useful information. Like it says on page 26, they basically fit everything into it they couldn't fit into the core rulebook. The information on pirates and religions was well needed. And considering it came with a Storyteller's Screen I'd say it was worth the asking price. I don't understand why so many people don't like it o_OBut the information on Ministry officials still has be stumped. I'm still going to assume the information in Hidden Agendas is purposefully false because the Ministry officials want to keep thier identities secret, but I still feel that since AsAs was unfinished and not proofread it may still have some factual errors. Blue Thunder
I also just noticed that the Ministry's Office of Hermonuetics (sp?) is mentioned in the core Trinity sourcebook, and also in Hidden Agendas (that book even names a leader of the office) as well as smaller mentions in other books. Yet a quick word search of Asia Ascendant brings up nothing, not even one mention.Does the Office of Hermonuetics even exist? And what the heck does 'Hermonuetics' mean, anyway? I've tried piecing together bits and pieces about it from the various books but I can't seem to determine what it does exactly.
