Guest
I am writing a report on nova life for my literature class. Yeah, I'm a "Baseline", and I'm curious. I'd just like anyone who feels up to it to answer a few questions.1: What is the "feel" of the "juice" when it is projected from your body?2: Do you novas sleep?3: And if so, for how long?4: How has your lives changed?5: Just how expensive have your food bills gotten?6: Do you feel any less human? more so? or not at all?7: What is your philosophy for being a nova?Thank you for your time.Makoto Shikogami, Murashima Private High School, Osaka, Japan. Hugin
Please understand this, you are not welcome here. I am sure some may disagree with me, but they would be wrong. This place is a refuge of some small sort for us. It is a place for Novas to interact with other Novas. It is not a place for us to be interviewed, pestered, or sought after like celebrities. I find it barely tolerable that N! Network somehow found a way to spam us with their innane little newsbits. We are not a display for you to gawk at or talking heads for you to question. Our conversations may not be earth shattering in importance but they are *ours*.I ask you to respect our right to some small amount of refuge from your kind and to leave us. Jordan
This is how we tesch them? Make them understand? We just look at them when they have a question and yell "Stupid monkey, it's none of your business, now go away!" Sure, you didn't say it like that James but you might as well have.Yes, we have a right to our private lives, but James, the next time you feel like answering for everyone here; Don't. I can speak and think for myself and don't like you making the assumtion that I hold the same opinion as you.

Not in the sense of hurling it at an enemy or something. If anything, I'd have to say when using most of my powers I feel a connection to all the living things around me. Like being in a mass circuit of life, or being able to see the strands of webbing that link everything. This is only when thinking back on it of course or when I'm doing it outside of work, cause when its happening on a mission I'm usually too focused on what I'm doing to pay attention to that sort of thing!2) I do.3) Only about 4 hours. 4) Well, I'm part of T2M now. I guess what's changed for me are my priorities. I was always so inclined to think of myself first, but I tend to look at how my actions affect other people now. I feel more responsibility, too, knowing that I can make a real difference in the world now instead of just talking about making a difference.5) Not really. Remember that most Novas, me included, aren't finacially burdened. It may seem like we eat a ton, but we make enough money that eating is not a strain on our finances.6)Less human? God no! More human? Maybe. More human in the sense that I have to act and think more humanely than I did before. I don't feel superhuman necessarily. I know I can do many things that ordinarly people can't do, and while it makes me different, it doesn't necessarily make me better.7) See my sig line! Hugin
Jordan, my sincerest apologies. I would hate to think that by trying to keep this little haven unsullied that I denied you the opportunity to get an ego fix.For all your love of the little student I notice you failed to answer his inane little questions. Hypocrite. You defend his presence yet pointedly ignore him.In the future, however, I will follow your wishes and only answer for myself. You are correct, I am not the voice of the forum. I went sky diving once. Like that, there simply isn't a frame of reference. It feels good though.2: This one does.3: I get my normal 8, once a week.4: For the better. Before, physically I was a wreck. Now I'm peak human even when I'm not green. I'm more assertive and much smarter too. Life is good. One last thing to fix and it will be great (see #5).5: I don't want to know. Much more than I can afford. I'm broke and living off other people's charity and my own potential; i.e. what passes for cafeteria food for Utopia and now Devries. 6: I feel great. Human without the frailties. 7: None as of yet. I'm still new to this.
Sakurako Hino
Ms. Shikogami,This board may have not have been the proper place to discuss such matters. You may start a dialogue with me over my private connection. I've already sent you the IP protocols. I may even be game to show up in person. I do have extensive files on nova physiology and philosophy my mother had collected. Don't let the more reactive elements scare you away from learning more about the new race on the block. After all, knowledge is power, and none is more powerful than a nova's knowledge.Be hearing from you soon.Sakurako Hino,Hino Estate Foundation - Tokyo, Japan. Guest
Thank you, Ms. Hino.I hope a constructive dialogue will help me understand nova culture and principles.Violette and Dr. Smith: Thank you for your input. It is appreciated.I realize I may have stepped into a "novas only" club, but I thought this would be the place to ask questions. I'll refer any more questions to Utopia. My momma didn't raise *me* to be no rude motherfucker.1. 'Juice'? Man you are one dirty minded little kid. Hell, bout the same as you, just a little better.2. Some do, some don't. Me, I do.3. All in all it's pretty friggin good.5. Hey little man, it ain't like I walk into Lucky's and fill up the cart. I only eat at resturants and shit like that. Oh, and I always keep some beef jerkey on me. And twinkies. Love twinkies. But it's expensive as hell, but that's kewl, cuz I can swing it. Sakurako Hino
O_o; Okay...Actually, I ment to go to her school. There seems to be a curiosity about novas there. And it sounds like a healthy one. So, I think once the fall rolls around, I may just have to pay a visit. I do have to get 2 credits in phys ed before I can get a high school diploma. So, I gotta deal with just a few more little i's being dotted and T's being crossed. I bet you guys forgot. But, as for hanging out, I may open a few hours in my schedule to hang with the wolves. Might toughen my skin a bit. *grins* Don't worry, I'm not THAT bored. Debugger makes sure of that.HEY! GET OUT OF MY FRIDGE!!!I swear, that cat-girl has a bottomless stomach. Fortune's Son
Why? Are you looking for some action? Nah, I'm just trying to bring something to her attention. Its time to grow up and join the species. Hooking her up with a peer instead of a PR created manga fantasy, or worse a bunch of fawning obsequious baselines, would be a step in the right direction. Her life is BSBA and you know how much crap goes down just because of that.Besides... Popper's got this thing for retro-punk and oriental women. Figured with her background and abs she'd be perfect for him.
Sakurako Hino
*quirks eyebrow* Manga fantasy? That was so before July. But, then again, it is fun.As for my habits, well, they're for me alone to deal with. BSBA? huh? What, you're saying I'm cum-seh cum-sah?Yeah, I'm weird, but I'm not THAT weird. I can't help having fun doing what I do.[ 08-08-2002: Message edited by: Endeavor ][ 08-08-2002: Message edited by: Endeavor ]

Sakurako Hino
I knew it, you were trolling all along. I was having that "vibe" from you. Go home to "Father Martin" okay? Maybe you an him can have some "quality time" together. If you were who you said you were which you weren't, you wouldn't have even mentioned "Father Martin". I bet you're even with the Michaelites. Stay off these boards, if you know what's better for you. You've just stirred up a hornet's nest. Especially lying to be and buttering me up. Fortune's Son
The result of exessive quantum buildup, i.e. taint, induced paranoia? Or the more mundane and garden variety mental illness resulting from recent extreme experiences coupled with a strict parochial and highly structure life style that is now absent? It's axiomatic that someone is out to get you but knowing exactly who and how badly they want it is requisite knowledge. Otherwise you're just a nutter.
