Okay, well, not exactly a sneak preview. It's a product I'm never going to release, since it'll be a full game. And that sort of thing isn't permitted by WW's terms of use.

But I've decided to put up the character sheet I put together, for your perusal.

Comments and questions are welcome. The Node/Attunement section is a little weird, fr'ex, so I'm happy to explain.

Very nice, but if you're never going to release it, then why bother doing it?

I ask because I'm currently working on a conversion of Adventure! to the new Storyteller system. It won't be a new game as such, just some conversion notes that will enable people with the original Adventure! game to use the new Storyteller system.

Because, as I stated, I'm doing it up as a full game. WW doesn't allow that sort of thing (full character creation rules, die rolling system, conversions of existing powers, etc) to be published by fans. I'd love to be able to release it, but I don't want WW to jump down my throat for it.

Conversion notes are fine, but that's not what I'm doing here.

Some notes and discussion on what I'm doing can be seen at my etherlab livejournal:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/etherlab

If people want to come up with their own system or conversion notes based on the discussion there, they can feel free to. But I'm making a full game because that's what I want, so that's what I'm doing.

OK, color me confused, but I'll try and see if I understand this.

1. You want to make a new and complete version of Aberrant for the new Storyteller system (as it exists in the current World of Darkness setting).

2. You are aware that distribution of such would violate the copyright terms stipulated by White Wolf.

3. You have decided to persist in creating said project, with an understanding that you will never distribute it.

4. Knowing the above, you decided to post a character sheet for said project, which can only whet viewers' appetites for a meal that they can never eat.

Am I missing something here, or are you being a tease?

Yes. I believe the name of the new system is the "Storytelling system," to differentiate from the Storyteller system.

No, that's all correct, and you're not missing anything. I suppose it is being a tease somewhat... but largely I'm doing this as a way to sort of make up for not being able to release it. I'm doing a lot of the brainstorming and stuff on my etherlab livejournal.

I may not be able to release the final product, but I can show people what I'm doing and how I'm going about doing it. This way others can reverse-engineer what I'm doing, or at least pick and choose which elements they like and which they don't. I'm not a complete asshole. ;)
