Sorry about that guys - I didn't follow this post - was waiting for posts to the IC game post ...

I didn't realize that I was being kissed in the first post - I must have rush-read it and assumed that people bumped into my car almost having sex .... sorry ... in the process of fixing it :)

Figured I'd ask before posting, just to be safe :)

I thought I got her out of the maglev and then left ... is she outside looking in, or somehow in the maglev again?

She's outside. But you do remember the couple behind the car, don't you?

Basically, what do I see when I walk back to the maglev?

We'll burn that bridge when we get there... ::wink

I had this weird idea to try and have an actual storyteller in the game. Don't know how it will work out, or even if I'll stick with the idea, but there it is. Hope that helps.

Just read the whole thing & this game is bloody brilliant! With big shiny knobs on! ::thumbs

I love the 'storyteller' bit - genius (I'm jealous... can you tell? ::wink ): gives the game just the right noir feel. Okay - I kinda' love film noir & cyberpunk both, so I guess I'm bias - but wow! Colour me impressed. ::biggrin

So... the inevitable question: any room, & if so, what sort of character would the group need? ::unsure The whole 'religious night club' thing reminds me of 'The Ministry of Sin' which was a club in Aberdeen in my uni' days built into a de-consecrated church... it's also started me thinking about insane religious characters too... Would a mentally-twisted aberrant-cultist (or pseudo-cultist more like) known as The Missionary be fitting? Zealot-crazy, but really good at... erm... well something useful... & easily manipulated by the 'bad guys' 'cos of his own particular addictions & predilictions? Just the first thing that popped into my head really (which says 'what' about my head I don't know... ::wacko )...

Cultists are cool, as long as you keep two things in mind: The character needs to be a team player or at least be willing to try, and there can be no question about his - or her - loyalty to the new employer. None of the PCs are trusted bodyguard material yet, but you get the idea. Competing organizations and spies are the problem Silverstone wants to work around, so the trust issue is important.

As for skills... We've got the medic, driver and thief/burglar archetypes covered, in addition to two more general bad boys, so there's still a few specialized skills open. Computer specialist? Sniper or other weapons specialist? Mechanic? Gunsmith? Con man? Or any other shady concept you can think of...

Ah cool...

... How about a computer / tech guy who was at the cutting edge but, due to the pressure, had a psychotic break? Months later he resurfaces in the game city with a new, rather twisted, world outlook, & radically changed appearance (as in scars, tattoos, & similar stuff) & becomes a sort of weird street-preacher type, trying to convert passers-by to the rather unintelligable doctrines of 'Our Lady of the Many Limbs'. Someone in Silverstone's organisation happens to ID the guy as the missing tech bloke & thinks that he could be useful...

The guy would be somewhat delusional & weird, but still know his stuff & (maybe for no other reason than his base of operations happens to be in an ex-convent) loyal to 'the boss'. He'd be the type who is brilliant in some ways, but needs some direction to do stuff like look after himself & remember to eat...

Whether the aberrant figure he worships is real or not would be, of course, a ST call - but he'd be a cult of one (so no real split loyalties). He probably eats spiders... ::unsure

Spiders? ::huh

Now you made me think of that Renfield character from Dracula: Dead and Loving It...

I think we'll have to discuss the details of his madness/eccentricity further, as well as his religion. But write up a character with the guidelines at the start of this thread, and we'll take it from there.

I've got two problems. The forums are deader than they've been since The Great Crash of 2005, and half my player group is missing. I'm not prepared to give up this story just yet, though, and since I'm the only ST that's even trying to run a game these days the rest of you are obligated to join in. ::biggrin

Just kidding. But seriously: If anyone is interested - oldie or newbie - I'll fudge the story to fit you in. I want to keep it running, but only three relatively regular posters is too little.

And you three... start posting! ::wink

Finally posted something. You might think it's short and not worth waiting for, but that isn't just my fault. I realize it's a long time since this story was running properly, but I still need input from all of you to make it interesting.

And Schreier, what crowd? Jax was told to stay put and keep an eye on Bonasera, so I don't understand what you're referring to.

Also: This isn't Adventure! If those of you who weren't originally armed don't say anything about having brought a weapon from the car in your next post, you'll be unarmed when I ambush you. IF! I mean if I ambush you. Of course... hehe. ::blush

Ok, guys. I need some help here. Why is this story grinding to a halt? Is it just that there are few players, and those few have little time on their hands? Is it that you're waiting for some action? Or is it just not interesting anymore? ::sad

I need to know what the problem is to fix it... ::confused

I am always interested in this game (or any other future Asbjørn games that might pop up ::innocent ), but it looks like both PoB and Heritage have some RL issues at the moment, and since Schreier only posts in this forum it's hard to gauge his activity. So in other words, I'm pretty sure it's just too few with too little time.. ::sad

Well, in that case, we need more people, I guess. Somehow I get the feeling I've said this before, though...

So listen up, people! Old and new, step right up, have your tickets ready! Not entirely sure how I'd mix new characters into the story right now, but it seems it's a pressing necessity to keep the story going.

Anyone?

Anyone else want to 'give it a shot'?

And Heritage, here's a little trick I learned from living with a girl for a few years now: If you're going out for a few drinks with some friends, don't say you'll be home by twelve when you know from past experience you won't be.... ::wink
