it is correct that with inspiration (or rather transformation points) you can aquire a sixth dot in abilitys.

I wasn't questioning that at all.

What I said was that Inspiration as a Trait was not on the list like Quantum and Psi were and that it listed Ability Mastery as something anyone could take not just the Inspired and as I don't recall ever seeing Ability Mastery in Aberrant or Trinity it would make sense it is limited to the Inspired of Adventure only.

The AeonWideUnifiedExperienceChart is not so AeonWide

This is a pretty old topic, but I just found it, so I thought I'd answer it. The entry for ability master costs for non inspired was placed there intentionally, tho you are right that canon does not specificly state that non-inspired have access to it.

The chart was originally constructed for in house use, thus it represents a couple of in house interpretations. Inspired are capable of having a total of three ability masteries, and Superiors can have an unlimited number under their primary attribute group. In Aberrant several of the Mega-Int enhancements looked, to me, a whole lot like ability masteries. And we ruled that any character should be able to have one ability mastery. My gaming group refused to accept (especially in settings outside Adventure) that a character could not be the best in a given field, with out also being exceptional in other areas.

In short, that particular rule is based on a personal interpretation, take it or leave it. I like, and so I use it in my games. As far as inspiration not being on the list, it was late when I typed it up from my hand written notes, so it must have gotten left off. Oops ::rolleyes .
