Wazai Kayasha
Is the Aberrant Player's guide any different from the good ol' Aberrant rule book? (The one that I have just has "Aberrant" on the front.) If so, is it any good? Does it really have powers above Level 3?I would really like to know. phoenix
Have a look here on level 4+ powers:http://www.chill.uk.net/eon/forums/index.p...&f=2&t=162&st=0I'm pretty sure there was one about the intrinsic value of the APG, too, but for the life of me, I can't find it. ezekiel
Maybe this is the one you were thinking of Pheonix?http://www.chill.uk.net/eon/forums/index.p...t=ST&f=2&t=1227It took me a while to find it as well...
phoenix
Yeah, that's the one. Anyway, those two links ought to answer your questions between them, Wazai.-Phoenix (who doesn't even have the book, but is the kind of guy who makes up directions for passer-bys rather than admit he's not from there)
Wazai Kayasha
Mine is on its way here, and I would like to know what kind of powers are in there? What's the modt powerful one for a Mega-Intelligent nova?
harlequin
erm, i can't remember which is the most powerful, but yes, there are above level three powers, more rules, more setting, more npc's etc. a fun book and worth while for anyone's connection... ::smile
phoenix
What's in the Elites book? Any new powers?
Sprocket
Aberrant: Elites doesn't have any new powers, but it _does_ have some delightful nova-designed hypertech! ::ninja Aside from the good write-ups on elite novas such as Totentanz, the book is basically your one-stop shopping spot for running an elite campaign in all of its sordid glory. Wonderful... simply wonderful... ::laugh
Dormammu
The PG is really great to read. The most powerful in there is the extra : Mastery. If you can get it, get it. I think it lacks a bit in Story information but rules in informations about novas-powers.
Ayre el KaBeer
I found it a fun book to read but still fairly useless, it's best section was the errata, the section on psiads (protopsions), and new high level powers. Overall probably not worth the money but that's just me.
ezekiel
As a lot of people know...I think the abbie PG sucked. Read the link I put if you want to know more...
Sprocket
Considering that the Aberrant gameline had its neck on the proverbial chopping block at the time the book was being developed, the APG is decent enough. Sure, it's about as organized as a bathtub full of drunken cats. Yeah, not all of the stuff in it will appeal to everybody. I'm just glad they got it out on the shelves before the axe fell! ::devil
Wazai Kayasha
I just got mine! It's pretty cool, aside from some bad artwork and strange errata. (Gay novas, anyone?) Some of the powers are ridiculosly powerful, quantum inferno and universe creation come to mind. Plus, most characters will never reach the power level needed to obtain these abilities. Of, course I am playing a high-powered campaign.
Bahamut810
Whats wrong with the gay novas? Andy Vance kicks major ass! I loved the idea for the QNA. A bunch of *cough* underdogs finally coming out on top! Nothing I like better then that. Now if they hada WNA...Wiccan Nova Alliance...Oh yea baby! Bahamut810
ARMS?Ok...give all the QNA and the WNA more NP!! Arm us better!!Watch out Church of Michael Archangel....we are coming to get you now! ::devil MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! ::devil (edit) Added Evil laughter
Sprocket
Someone give that fella something to calm him down... (yeah, right! ::cool ) Besides, wouldn't Geryon have already done the Michaelites in en masse by now?The APG has its flaws (no pun intended), but it's still better than nothing. I admit that the QNA isn't my cup of tea (I played in a Daedelus League campaign, myself), it certainly is a realistic nova group. Besides, anything that honks off the "Religious Right" as much as the QNA does has to have something good going for it...
Bahamut810
I would think Geyron would have done them in already...but their rocket launchers must scare him or sum'thin ::rolleyes .Go Geyron Go Go!I think that would be an interesting camp though...Kill the Michaelits...Quick...but interesting and fun. Dormammu
Ah to hear bones breaking (really funny if you have mega-perception). guess the secret backup from Proteus should protect some Michaelites.Seems they are not so easily destroyed. I have been playing Aberrant a while ago, and I used some Megasocials that let them do all kinds of weird things, like go out running amok molesting children and stuff. ::devil On a large scale the church has been outlawed pretty fast. ::devil
