Ayre el KaBeer
Friday night before playing the scheduled session Werewolf, the GM Alan asked us "So what game do you want to play after Werewolf finishes in a couple of months?" I said Adventure! (well duh! this thread would be in the Aberrant section otherwise) and he replies with an expression like he just ate a roach fed rat. Fair enough I think but then he gives a brief description of the game he has in mind for a Sons of Ether game! (not that a sons of ether game (mad scientist mage for those who dont know) wouldn't be great but damnit it's the principle of the thing!) So i pointed out immediately that the story would be perfect for Adventure! He then says that A! is to confining! (can you believe that?) So anyway I need ideas so i can convince him A! is the game of choice, any takers?
harlequin
He said adventure is too confining? ::blink i suspect a sever lack of imagination then...*keeps thoughts on WoD and particularly Mage to herself*
BillionSix
My advice is to either a) run Adventure! yourself, or recruit all the other players to beg for Adventure!
Ayre el KaBeer
a) is out of the question, I'm running Trinity for the first time and I'm finding that a handfull. would be fine if the other players were willing to read another book, unfortunately they're not that interested. They would be if Alan said he'd run the game, so he'd probably run it if we all showed an interest but the other players won't show any interest unless he comitts himself to the game... Damn you to hell paradox!!!!
Finbar
Another option is to allow an Inspired character to be part of the Trinity game...We tried it, and liked it!FR
ezekiel
I take it he wants to run a Mad-Scientist game?show him the Super-Science chapter in A! Talk to him about monkey operated zeppelins, background enhancements and especially, inspiration. If all else fails watch the Rocketeer, Without a Clue (A Holmes spoof with Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley) and Raiders of the Lost Ark with'im...he's bound to want to play A! after that! ::rolleyes
