Ok, so I never could make up my mind. Should the automatic damage listed on vehicle weapons apply through a TK force field? I dont' remebmer any really concrete treatment of this issue in the book and I am a little tempted to say that TK Barrier does not soak...but then again I dont' want to chump the PK's either.....oh also, are those auto levels of damage or just auto dice? Sorry, leant my book and won't have it for a few days.......

I'd treat the field as a speed bump for the vehicle, it should slow it down and therefore weaken the overall effect. Maybe half (rounded up) shield rating against the vehicle if you want to weaken it against vehicles but keep some protection for the pk'er, or have it defend against roled vehicle damage only and have the automatic damage just tear through.

generally we work it as the standard shield and say that the attack only goes through if they get higher to hit than the pk's psi roll, though however much they get over generally is automatic damage as the bracketed damage would apply first before the rolled damage. note the pk shield does not defend in the least against lasers or screamers, thus this defense would only work against vehicle based projectile weapons (coilguns, missle shock though not necessarily the flame damage). since vehicles generally have more than one type of gun this means legionares still have to pick their fights very carefully, and must be absolutely sure they are a stronger psion than the pilot is a shot. it does make pks pretty hard to kill with a coilgun or firearm of any sort, but then i'm honestly ok with that kind of gratuity in game. it seems to justify a lot of the fanfare the legions get. they're supposed to be bulletproof neh?
