CHILL
Well, someone had to start a thread, suppose it might as well be me ::hehe Just came back from watching Scooby Doo and, although I can't bear the thought of watching Freddy whassisname even 'attempting' to act, I quite enjoyed the flick.Matthew Lillard takes off Shaggy perfectly, and although a _little_ cringeworthy in places, the film is well worth watching. Especially for the identity of the 'bad guy'....sooooooo funny .....um..... I'll be quiet now ::bigsmile

Guest
Why does everyone keep thinking that some of these movies are supposed to have sterling dialog and stuff like that.Face it.Some of these movies are SUPPOSED to have bad dialog and acting. Its part of their charm. Haven't you noticed its the B move that becomes a cult classic?~Igrane
Aninemity
very good point igrane, and welcome to the forums!not every movie's gonna be that perfect, wonderful classic hit, but B movies have their places too. It's also a kid's flick, and I think people try and forget that sometimes.Reguardless, it's in the class of movie that can wait for video for me, but I still think it will be lots of fun. Heritage
I haven't posted in weeks, and *this* is the thread that brings me back? Sheesh! (Hi, everybody! )Actually, I loved the movie, partially because my expectations were so damned low. It was damned silly, and a lot of the jokes fell flat, but I actually laughed to the point of tears a few times, which I don't do at the movies a lot. And there were some truly bizzare and even kinky concepts floating around in there.Scooby-Doo has haunted my life for years. When we used to play Ars Magica (still a great game) I played a magus named Helgaravna, a half-feral Woden-worshiping shapeshifter who could turn into a wolf at will; a running joke for a while was "Would you do it for *two* Helga snacks?"Such a great character - scary and bloodthirsty on the one hand, innocent and lovable on the other. Ahh...(drifting away on warm fuzzy RPG memories....)

Defender
I watched it, it was a slow day between classes and I have to say I don't understand why so much venom was directed at the flick. I do think it's pretty obvious that at first the cast and crew were shooting for an almost-parody kind of feel, then for some reason (probably for the money) switched to give the movie a more Kid Friendly feel. Wussies. Still, I did enjoy it. Oh and as a side note, Velma. . .*droooool* God bless that turtleneck. . . ::devil -Defender.
