1. the aberrants crashed the esperanza because they got intel saying that there was a massive buildup of psions in africa and figured it was a rally before a massive attack (they were wrong, it was the other orders getting jumpy and deciding they needed to disintegrate the upeo and merge the order in with the others for rather ill advised reasons) they trash the station hoping at best they'll actuallly hit africa and take out the psions and at worst provide decent distraction, they miss africa, to say the least. the upeo vanish fearing they will be purged like the chitra bhanu and the station hits paris, this is sometimes called "a really really bad day"

2. Aum Soto, don't think we know on that one yet, asas still hasn't come out and since i haven't seen it in any of the books so far and i own a ton of them i don't think it has been explained fully.

3. maxwell mercer was alive and well during the 20's and had the (mis)fortune of standing just a liiiiittle too close to the hammersmith engine when it exploded. he and his companion donnigal (later to be known as divis mal) sucked up a mighty dose of "z waves" and were most likely the first full fledged novas in the twentieth century. donnigal goes on to start the nova age after falling out with max, and max starts tripping through the timestream, he is confirmed to be alive in all three game lines, but the extent and reprecusions of that aren't fully clear at this time. its likely he isn't so much living the full extent of his lifespan (though that is certainly possible) but rather is time skipping and using the younger version of himself in conjuction with the older one to accomplish long term goals. in adventure he's (duh) leader of the aeon society and millionare philanthropist, in aberrant he still has that position (or at least something akin to it) and is big into project pandora, in trinity he's most likely still running aeon and knows a lot more about everything than anyone else. he'll most likely (read: unless the writers are flamming morons) have an intregal part in the resolution to the metaplot should we ever see it in print.

hope that helps

In response to three (3); Does anyone remember 'Where on Earth/Where in time is Carmen San Deigo'?  :)  Serious flashbacks going on! Also did any of you guys fancy Ivy from the cartoon? I'm not gay but there was always something about her I more than liked...  ::blush  ...Quite embarassing to admit that really...

Chloe.
