Gary B
Setting: (fictional) Modern day town in South Carolina called Amherst. While the town is over a hundred years old, it has grown exponentially over the last decade into a boom metropolis, mixed with an old town flavor. However, it is still isolated by the mountains around it.Story Hook: You have found your place. A job. A place to settle down. Amherst. Luckily you found a job when you did. Things were starting to look pretty dire out there. Now you are just one train ticket away from a blissful new life...Characters: Characters start out human and are shunted into a world they dont understand. Options will open up as the characters progress through the horrors of Amherst. The entire World of Darkness is here in some form or another, but the lore is a little different. This includes sources from: Hunter, Vampire, Werewolf, Changeling, Promethean, Mage, Giest and others. New category of beings are the Outsiders.Outlook: Grim, dangerous and lethal. You will survive if you are smart, and perish if you think you can take on the world and live. This is afterall, the World of Darkness.

David_A
I'm interested. I've been itching to join something but it doesn't look like the WoD Open World is highly active at the moment. I have a character in mind but I'll wait to flesh him out until it looks like there's some interest besides me.

Gary B
Excellent. Just so people know, and want to create thier characters ahead of time, here are the basics. Character is a normal mortal.Attributes: 5/4/3Skills: 11/7/4 (Choose 3 Specialties)Merits: 7Free Points: 4 (As you wish to distribute, following the same rules that over 4 dots costs 2 points, nothing more than 5 dots.)Any supernatural merits will have to be looked over. The resource merit is deemed by the job posting you pick rather than buying dots in resources. Combat merits are okay (styles for instance), if they fit with your character (ie: Sniping on an Innocents character...)

Gary B
Going to put this game on hold for now. Figure I will play for a while here and build a rapport before diving in with a big campaign. Thanks!
Dawn OOC
Gary,A good way to build rapport is to come hang out in chat, if you have the time and inclination. Those of us who do had out there often talk about games and get to know one another. Click the arrow next to 'Chat' at the top of the screen. The Flash Chat or the Ajax Chat are the ones that are most commonly used for casual conversation. The Beta chat is used for die rolling and some IC chats. Justin OOC
indeed, I know at least a quarter of the games started because of talks in the chat. You're more than welcome to join in the fun.
