David woke up to the sounds of passionate sex; loud, sweaty, dirty sex. He was groggy and soaked, and not surprisingly...naked. From the ammonia smell, he didn't wanna guess as to why he was wet and the empty broken bottle of Jameson lying next to him would explain why he blacked out...wouldn't it?

When he rolled over on to his hands and knees, he recognized the hand-woven Indian rug. It was unique, an antique and had cost his parents a small fortune. He was home, there was no denying it.

A glance to the side revealed his friends, and a lot of hot girls, including one very well endowed cheerleader that was taking it from every angle on his parents Minotti couch.

David let his eyes take in the scene, watching in the fucking and the boozing, and Andrea the cheerleader, watching her tits bounce with the thrusts Jeff, Don and Patrick gave her. He smiled in appreciation of the sight and this memory--- wait...

The Lynx? The storm? So he realized this had to be a dream. Oddly, he felt more like he was an actor in a play. Heh. That was something his father had originally told him. David's an actor in the play of life, he has to follow the director's script, aka his parent's words.

The scene here was plenty of evidence he never agreed with that idea, but the import of the words seemed reasonably helpful here. Whether this is a memory or dream, as long as I'm here, let's go with the script.

He got up standing, twice, he was aroused as well. Walking over to Jeff forcing his cock in and out of Andrea's ass, David clapped him on the shoulder and gave him a lecherous grin. "My turn."

Jeff grinned the same way back, and pulled slowly out, making Andrea moan rather loudly. Then David took his place, slapping the writhing cheerleader on the booty before he inserted his dick in.

David had just begun to really enjoy himself, despite his evident golden shower and sore head, when the telltale flashes of red and blue started to shine through the sheer drapery layer of his mother's curtains.

Colors that never run sent his friends and acquaintances scrambling, but before anyone could even find their clothes, the doorbell rang followed by loud banging on the solid oak, hand-carved double doors.

A deep raspy voice could be heard, not loud, but penetrating, "Open up David."

David pulled on some jeans while confusedly trying to understand this dream. The police had not come by, and as he remembered it, the party had went on much further into the night. And police didn't tend to know his first name. Nonetheless, the best thing to do was open up.

As soon as he was clad in the jeans, he darted downstairs to the door, and pulled it open. "Can I help you?"

The door opened to a very...oddly dressed officer. He was wearing a floor length, orange-tinged fur coat. He had an authentic City shield clipped to his coat and was looking at David over gold-rimmed glasses.

"I'm sure a bright young boy like yourself is aware that there are over 200 different documented virus' in human feces, and that's not even including the bacteria colonies..." Mulligan glanced over David's shoulder, "...seems all your friends hoofed it...where does that leave you, besides stinkin' of piss?"

As David looked at the old man, he could see that beyond him, out in the driveway, there was an older-looking hispanic Officer in a suit with even shaggier hair escorting the women out, occasionally spanking them playfully to make them step up their pace to the awaiting Expedition. He looked up at the door and gave David a wink before turning back to the women, who were giggling with glee as they climbed into the car.

A trickle of sweat ran slowly down David's head. Damn, it! Things seemed like, dream or if it wasn't one, going to pot. Double strength pot to be precise.

"Dunno." he replied to the oddly-dressed cop. "I already know my parents will blow their gaskets off. I'd say I'm left with a cop in a rather garish non-standard uniform, Officer...?"

"Mulligan...maybe you should finish getting dressed, if we're to continue this discussion..."

Mulligan walked in, somehow not touching David as he moved past him through the doorway. He glanced around looking for an undefiled spot to sit and gave up. Turning around, he folded his arms and looked at David expectantly over his glasses, crossing his arms.

David sighed and spotted a discarded shirt on the floor. Going over to it and putting it on, he turned back to Mulligan confused, and a bit ruffled. "I'm not sure if there's really anything more to continue talking about, Mr. Mulligan. You'd write a report and tell my folks, right? Mind explaining to me what you have to talk about?"

David glanced down at the bottle then swallowed. "Well, here's a case of liquor causing one to forget they had liquor in the first place." Damn it, he was screwed, not just by his parents, but a criminal record too.

"Looks like I don't have a choice here." David murrmurred walking up to Mulligan. "Anything else before the cuffs go on?"

"Actually...you do have a choice...this can all go away...But you have to agree to the terms...its up to you." he replied, giving the young man a stern look.

He was clearly uncomfortable, the cause was not readily apparent, but he seemed like he was two breaths from leaving and wanting to get this over with.

  • 2 weeks later...

David's face noticeably screwed up for a 'wtf' expression before he figured that not everything seemed to be upfront here in this statement. Maybe drawing out a little more information could help.

"I'm surprised you have enough belief that's it's worth my trying at least." He said tentatively. "Mind telling me how the world needs saving, and what I can do? I'm not aware of possessing superpowers. When I want to, I can give things a serious 110%, but I'd like more explanation first."

"Well, if you don't want to...and you aren't serious, then we can finish the discussion at the station. Your choice to save the world or not...shouldn't have stipulations, or worries of some comic-book facade. It is more important to consider the fact of the world you live in and whether you like it...wouldn't you think, boy?"

Mulligan unfolded his arms and one half of a pair of handcuffs dropped him his hand. The polished metal caught the light as it dangled and swung slightly from the older man's hands.

Thank God!...whoops...

"Great to hear boy...just follow the path...it will be revealed when you are ready...but you might want to take a shower first..." Mulligan said with some hidden relief.

The world went out of focus slightly and when it came back, the orange fur-clad man was gone. Leaving David alone with a decision and a mess.

It took David a minute to realize he had the uneasy feeling he'd been suckered into whatever was going to happen. "Well David," he told himself out loud, "might as well roll with the punches and see what's going on here."

It wasn't the best idea or feeling- come to think of it, he did need a shower. So he went up to his room's adjoining bathroom and did the stuff.

As he got out, toweled and dressed, he still felt agitated over his decision. I'm ready, it's crazy, the whole thing, but what else is there to do?

Cleaning up the mess had involved issues that he did not have the will to contemplate right now.

Then, on an impulse, he walked down the stairs, and pulled on a pair of sneakers. Stepping outside for a moment, he wondered why he had this instinctive sense of doing so.

It was chilly and cold. The porch light gave off enough light to illuminate the porch and surrounding well-manicured landscape. His faint shadow cut across the sidewalk and railing before disappearing beyond the scope of light.

He gazed up and out, daring a look at the stars, but could see only brooding clouds. As he looked up wonderingly at the sky, he saw a flash of light off of one of the large specimen Sugar Maples that helped protect the house from summer heat. Based on the direction, whatever or whoever that was making that light was in the backyard.

Strange, and odd, as he seemed to be the only one here, David cautiously walked around the house and into the outer edge of the backyard. In honest truth, he was wondering if Mulligan wasn't crazy. Surely something would have come up on the news that pointed to that possibility of planetary threats. On the other hand, he had agreed to Mulligan's request, so what did that make him?

The lights, which he could now tell was a flashlight, was coming from further in the forest. David thought he could hear women's voices, but it was too faint to tell who it was.

Jumping to the conclusion that somehow, someone had escaped the police, he jogged after them, leaping over disused garden beds and a well manicured rock garden.

"Hey! Wait up!" He shouted as he ran. The girl couldn't go much further without hitting the stone wall that bordered the property in the back. The only way out was a gate that was kept locked and used for the landscaper's access.

David came around a bend in the gravel path and leaped over a small stream, nearly knocking over a stone japanese stone lantern in the process. The light flashed across his face, temporarily blinding him as it disappeared through the back gate, which was mysteriously open.

"Hey! C'mon!" David darted to the exit and plowed through the dangling Boston Ivy that obfuscated the doorway.
