The four Valkyries were launched, two without their autocannons but with full stealth. The other two were invisible to sensors, but still showed up visibly. Captain Ramius sighd as she watched them fly off. She addressed the bridge. "We're moving out, Forty percent speed. If the American Command asks, our Engines are still damaged."

She calls down to Engineering next. "Chief Devereaux, do what you can to get our Mecha ready for battle. I know we're short on parts, but see if you can work up a couple more packs for the Valkyries. We may need the extra power of them. Leaving the majority back to Ozma may hurt us later if we have to deal with gundams as well."

In the special hangar for the Grungust and the other super robots Juliana was left with a team of technicians. "You're going to be hunting the Bladegainer, a Mech that while smaller than the G2 is much faster. It's Ranged attacks are far stronger, and It's Plasma drive is a miniature fusion bomb. We have to find a way for you to shut that beast down where it's safeties to prevent capture don't engage."

[Roxanne]

As soon as they reached mission altitude Roxanne opened a channel to Mission Command, "This is Fate from Skull Squadron reporting - everything is within acceptable parameters. ETA 2 minutes, activating stealth mode. Com offline until I report back. Fate out."

She opened a private channel to the two Valkyries wihtout a stealth module. "Falcon, you're our backup if something goes wrong. We're making a sweep over the target area, with some luck they won't pick us up. I'll morse you an emergency signal if we have contact, in that case you start a distraction fly-by drawing attention towards you but do not engage. Rendevouz point as per mission briefing - we'll be joining you from the south should we get split up. Remember top priority is avoid to be seen, we're not here to engage the enemy. Fate out."

Roxanne nodded at her wingman and activated the stealth unit, then she accelerated to the safest speed and descendet below radar range.

(Won't be any rolls, except for Sera. The Flight even with future tech takes awhile. I was planning to let recon talk to eachother for a little while whil the mechanics do their thing and our Super robot pilot prepares to hunt her counterpart. You ALL are free to post...))

Conrad keyed acknowledgment before opening his own private channel to Risky. "This is it Risky. I'll take the lead in, you cover me." With that he took the Valkyrie down below radar as well and sped up to a speed optimal for safety led his wingmate on their pre-assigned flight path.

"On it, Captain. Our birds will get everything they need to command the skies." She turned to her subordinates, hands on hips, facing them with a new confidence and verve, tempered by her trials. "Let's go people. The mechs survive by our efforts and I don't plan on losing another."

Seraphine was ruthless, chivvying them to work faster and better, critical of any mistakes. The Bitch used threats and seductive promises to get the most out of her people. After one day, the other engineers were wishing that Sera would either die, or drown herself into a stupor. But they couldn't say anything disparaging about her efforts.

As far as she pushed them, she pushed herself even further, working 18 hours days with barely a break, tools an extension of her will. Many of them found it profoundly unfair that the young woman that looked like a particularly gorgeous glamour model was also such a masterful engineer.

Nights found Cowboy Bill Payson dragged to the stunning Chief's bed and ravished with an insatiable and wanton passion before she dropped off into a satisfied slumber. Barely four hours later, her day repeated itself.

Conrad sighed with the long trip barely 20 minutes later and opened a channel to the other squadron members. Com-silence could go to hell right now, he needed to talk to someone, and the whole trip wasn't anywhere near finished.

"Whiskey One here. Guys, this is a hell of a deception and plan we're pulling. Taking on every mech other than ours in this time and putting all side against us. I won't doubt this is right, but damn chancy."

[Roxanne]

Roxanne sighed briefly then opened the channel again to answer, "Shotglass, we all had our concerns voiced about this mission and this war in general. What is right or wrong isn't always for us to decide - especially during times of war. I'm not glad with how things are going right now but we have not much of a choice."

Roxanne wasn't sure what Shotglass was trying to say. Maybe he'd be more specific if she kept the conversation going.

[Rorx]

Gordan sighed as he heard how well the others could keep radio silence. This was meant to be a military outfit, but it sure didn't feel like it sometimes. He shrugged to himself and settled himself more comfortably in his seat. It was going to be a fairly long flight and perhaps the lower tech of the other nations were making the other pilots complacent. Gordan however was all too aware that they were flying towards a nation that had managed to integrate high tech weapons into their ships. If they could do that perhaps they could also integrate or at least make use of the high tech sensors on the captured spaceships.

With that in mind he ran another diagnostic on the stealth systems, and side slipped half a klick south of the others. After all, there was no point them all getting caught in enemy fire if they had detected the others radio communications.

As they neared Japan all chatter ceased. The two non stealth Valkyries flew high, and thankfully it was quite cloudy. The Stealth Valkyries were able to fly beneath the ceiling of the clouds. Japan looked nothing like Hawaii, It was bustling with industry, and most of the imperial flee was scattered between Harashima and the Tokyo anchorage. A number of ships were being worked on, and not one, but two batteries of energy cannon were being installed on the Yamato, the Japanese Flagship.

Most startling was the alert of enemy mecha on the ground, at least two dozen Bartoll units, and even worse Three Gundams. It was unprecedented. They had Dominion and Alliance ships and machines, and the Bladegainer.

A trip further north Revealed the skeletal hulks of a half dozen warships from their time, crashed into the ground. Another hour found three more swarming with Japanese Regular Army Personnel, and what's more there was Another Gundam, and this one was dangerous.

It was was the Zeta Gundam, one that could transform, and one with a sensor that might be able to detect the fighters.

The mecha stopped, and looked Skyward, brilliant Golden Eyes scanning the sky, looking right at the pair of Valkyries. They had only seconds to decide what to do.

Oh crap!

Roxanne hit the comm and barked, "Break formation, fall back and retreat. DO NOT ENGAGE!"

Crapcrapcrapcrap, the young Valkyrie pilot literally hit the breaks and using the thrusters of her Valkyrie in a manner barely designed for. She twisted the machine around and initiated a halfmorph into Guardian mode to make use of the powerful leg thrusters - as soon as she had the bearing she wanted the Valkyrie morphed back to fightermode. Having the horizon barely in sight and acting full on instinct Roxanne hit the afterburner hoping she'd escaped the Zeta Gundam's gaze.

Roxanne's actions were spot on, but the shift to Guardian caused a short in the stealth technology, and suddenly the entire mecha was visible. The Zeta sounded the alarm and immediately 3 Bartolls Joined it in pursuit of the now visible Valkyrie. The big Gundam transformed and put on speed, and even with afterburners full on, It was catching up, blue flames driving it forward at over mach 4.

(OOC Time for initiative rolls if you guys want to do anything. As it stands only Roxanne has been found, though the base is now on alert.)

"Shit!" Conrad hissed as the events lower down unfolded. "Risky, get out, I'll lower down and see about getting behind those chasing Fate." Saying so, and having cut about sharply, he began to slowly descend to behind the Bartolls and Gundam.

Without Stealth tech Conrad's maneuver immediately made him show up on the Bartoll's sensors, the Gundam and Roxy already making haste. Two of the robots dropped back to pincer him, while the other three followed the gundam. Gordan followed hard behind the three, before Risky dopped in front of them, gaining their attention. This left Roxy being pursued solely by the Zeta.

Conrad sighed and hit the controls for his weapons, causing the guided missiles to hurtle through the air towards one of his targets.

Missiles impacted all across the bartoll, blowing off an arm, but more telling, it's right leg and the thruster within. Deprived of half its thrust, the heavy mecha began plummeting downward ending with a thunderous explosion.

The other Opened up with light autocannons raking them across Conrad's position, butting several holes in his right wing which caused the warning lights t scream and demand attention as several controls for the wing became non-responsive.

The Zeta Fired off a blast from its beam cannon even as it picked up speed. The blast seared the left wingtip of Roxanne's Valkyrie, but didn't interfere with its flight.

[Roxanne]

Roxy pushed the throttle as hard as she could hoping to squeeze another MPH out of the Valkyries afterburner, her flight instincts had taken over dodging with uncanny skill the barrages of the Zeta. Yet the damned Mecha was closing in and she had to make a decision unless she would get shot to pieces sooner or later.

Damnitdamnitdamnit! THINK Roxy!...

Using the Valkyries thrusters Roxy made a hard turn away from HQ picking a random vector to the north. According to her maps there was an island with some mountain formations, maybe she could shake off her pursuer there.

Risky fired a full salvo, both of missiles and her autocannon. The Bartoll she attacked exploded in a ball of fire, as one turned to engage her, and the other chased after Gordan.

(Gordan you're up there are 3 bartolls left pus the Zeta.)

Gordan lit into one of the Bartols, his autocannon nearly bisecting it before it could do anything and then he took off after the Zeta.

The remaining pair of bartolls went after Conrad, who managed to dodge the fire, and Risky, who lost an arm as a lucky hit destroyed the upper servo assembly on her machine's left arm.

(Conrad you're up there is one more turn before the Gundam catches up to Fate.)

Conrad swore, jinked slightly, and fired off the Mongoose missiles, hoping to clear out the remaining bartols as fast as possible.

Another Bartoll exploded in thunderous Explosion. The last one bugged out seeing itself alone against 3 valkyries.

The Zeta fired again, burning the paint off the bottem of Roxanne's Valkyrie. Soon it wold catch her and then it wouldn't miss.

It didn't look as if her plan would add up but she had to try anyway. If she could get into a tight canyon or between two mountains her superior maneouvreablity should give her an advantage and maybe... only maybe she could manage to have the Zeta crash into a wall.

Risky Frowned as the last bartoll bugged out. "We've got to Help Fate, she can't handle a gundam alone." She Shot off after the massive robot, pushing her afterburners.

Gordan was ahead as was Conrad.

(OOC Gordan you catch up this turn, Just as the Zeta Catches up to Roxanne. Conrad and Risky will catch up next turn, Gordan You're up.)

Gordan finally got into range of the Gundam, although no longer with the element of surprise that he had before tangling with the Bartoll. Now he flipped the switch and sent a salvo of missiles at the big glowing image of the Gundam's thrusters.

The missiles blasted armor from across the gundam's back, Forcing it to adjust give up on the fleeing roxanne. It drew up its beam rifle and fired, a lance of emerald fire melting straight through the Valkyrie's left engine. Gordan had seconds to change modes, as the Valkyrie began to fall.

Conrad you're up.

Conrad zoomed forward, drawing extra power for a stronger blast, but the buildup made the targeting computer less effective. He prayed for luck as he shot off the blast...

The blast goes wide of the Mecha and the Gundam doesn't even bother to turn around. It's focus is solely on the Valkyrie before it.

Roxanne cursed wildly in her cockpit as she kept focused on shaking off her pursuer. She felt the Gundam's relentless approach and knew she had no chance to outrun it.

How far are those mountains?, she checked her map and radar as she dramatically lost altitude in the hope to gain a few seconds before the Gundam would adjust.

OOC: Roxanne's plan is still finding that Island with mountains in the north - she wants to get the Gundam in there and hopefully get an advantage in that environment

The Zeta lined up a Kill shot on Roxanne's Valkyrie, only to look back towards the Islands, and seem to sigh. Changing to It's Waverider form, it shot off back for the ship they'd seen it excavating. "You get away this time, Americans. But I will not Forget. You die next time." The words were broken English, and contained all the venom of a dozen cobras.

(OOC you guys can head back to the ship, but going will be slow. Gordan's mecha cannot fly in Valkyrie mode, limiting it's speed.)

In Guardian mode Gordan kept low to the sea in order to gain some lift from the ground effect and to put that to use in gaining a little in speed.

"Well, not exactly how we had hoped things would go. Anyone got an evaluation of the target zone and the damage we did to thier forces?"

[Justin OOC]

Risky replied. "Not enough to destroy it. If I was in an Armored pack I could have, but It looked like it was fused with the rock. There's not much they can get from it."
