The Legions, the psychokinetic order whose purpose is to defend and protect humanity, founded by the proxy General Sovieg Larsson, and centered in Australia, they are a bright hope for humanity.

The Æsculapian order, founded by Docter Matthieu Zweidler, and based in switzerland, the vitakinetic order deals with medicial training, as well as biomedical research and development.

It is through Æon Trinity, that members of one particular discipline end up a different order, though the orders are sometimes reluctant to do this, these two orders are usually fairly good about it.

At this time, a young man, a paramedic has been found to wish to join the legions, and after they tested him and fount him to be a strong latent vitakinetic, they called him in to for a a bit of discussion, offering him a choice. Either triggering as a pyschokinetic, or though the Trinity exchange program, to have him triggered as a vitakinetic.

"I can become a Rex?" Philip relied in a puzzled manner. "Well, I think I would be more help to the Legion if I could put people back together, rather than just pull them apart. Yeah, I would appreciate that a lot!"

Philips confusion quickly vanished, replaced with a smile that was going to make his mouth hurt in a few minutes...

Captain Laura Sevrus couldn't help but chuckle a bit at Philip's enthuasm, it was almost a bit cute. Standing up, she reached out to shake his hand, and then continued. "Alright, we're holding up the basic training then, you'll go into it when you get back. I've a pair of tickets, for the two of us, we're departing within the next few hours, if anything want to bring with you, I suggest you get it... if not, I'll make a call, and we can leave now."

"Then let's be about it." And with that she walked out of the office, leaving him to follow, with his bag, across a field where a copter was waiting, and once both of them got in, it flew them to the local airport. From there, Philip and Laura met with a pair of individuals who appeared to be affiliated with Trinity, and the four of them got on board a intercontinental flight, heading for Switzerland.

Perhaps Philip was a bit excited, but he was going to have plenty of time to calm himself, sense the flight and journey were going to take a while, at least 6 hours before everything was done and they found themselves on the other side of the world.

Of course, once there, he would have to go though another battery of tests, and psych evaluations, before he underwent the prometheas effect.

Philip rocked up to Kapooka like everyone else. He took the test like everyone else. Moments later, he talking to someone important, then on a chopper, then flying across the world. Could this be real?

Of course, as soon as he got of the plane, he got a big shock. Temperatures exceeding 40c where not uncommon at home. He had never seen snow until that day.

As Philip shivered in the cold, the folks with him chuckled a bit, and one of them offered him a coat. "Should have warned you, a bit cold in these parts during this time of the year." Laura appeared to be having no trouble, but then, as a psychokinetic, likely she could protect herself from the cold, it was a fairly easy technique for them to learn after all.

"Thanks" Philip said as he put the coat on.

If it wasn't for Philips escort, people would have mistaken him for a tourist. Everything was new, different. As Philip followed, he wondered how lost he would be if they weren't here.

"This way.." They lead him though the city, which took a while, finally to the center of the Vitakinetic headquarters in the city. From there, the members of Trinity, and turned him over the the Æsculapian order, with Laura speaking up. "I'll be back to get you when they let us know your ready to leave."

With that, she left, and they took Philip deep inside their facility. What followed was an intensive number of tests, including tests of his medical knowledge, backgound, etc. In fact, the tests took about a week, because they tested just about everything possible.

Philip was excited to be here. Then there was the first test. Philip was still excited, then another, and another test. Philip was happy to be here, then another 10 tests....

At the end of the testing, he felt like it was the HSC at school again. Philip was quite happy to veg in front of the TV until he got his response. Shame there wasn't much on in english...

Finally, someone came to get him, and handed him a what appeared to be a rather formal paper, on it a stamp that said.. 'Approved' and on inspection, the paper appeared to be the request for vitakinetic triggering.

"This way." The official, lead him though a number of doors, and then stopped in front of one that had a palm and eye reader, which he used, and when Philip followed, they appeared to step into what appears to be an elevator, and go down for a bit, as it opens at the bottom a middle aged man, with a young woman carrying a notebook by his side appears to be waiting for them.

"Thank you, Derik, we'll take over from here." He turns to look at Philip. "Philip, right? I'm Doctor Timothy Alvis, and his this is my assistant, Julia. Please come this way, we need to spend some giving you the basic orientation to prepare you for how your very perception of the world is about to change." As soon as Philip steps out of the elevator, it closes behind him.

'Approved'. The word was bitter sweet. Philip had just spent 1 week of virtually non-stop tests, and all he got was a 'pass/fail'.

While still trying to process this, he followed whoever was leading him somewhere. When he finally arrived and Dr Alvis introduced himself, it struck him that it was really happening. Everything he had wanted was about to come true, and he was still pre-occupied with the last week.

The next hour or two, or maybe three, the doctor and his assistant began to explain to Philip how his perceptions were going to alter, how his life was going to change, down to the very way he was going to perceive the flow of life around him. Mainly they were simply following the training program into order to insure that he didn't go catatonic shortly after he stepped out of the tank, as some of the earliest folks who were triggered did.

Finally however, they came to a door, and stopped, turning to look at Philip directly. "Final step now, young man, are you ready?"

'Final step'. The words gave him goose bumps. It had been a little over a week, but it felt like a lot longer. It was really happening. "I'm ready." Philip replied. He felt like he should have said something more memorable, but that's all that came out.

The doctor nodded, opening the door, and guiding Philip though to the next room, where the chamber was at, there was young man there working. "This is Docter Jean Sovrig, he monitors the chamber while folks are in it, now, if you would remove your clothing please, young man." His manner had shifted to that of a doctor expecting his immediate compliance.

If Philip looked startled, embarrassed or hesitated, he would continue. "Come now, young man, we're all doctors here, you have nothing to fear from us, we need to keep things moving efficiently and quickly."

"Now, we prepare you for the Prometheus chamber, and put you into it." They began to attach some bioapp sensors to his skin, then put a rebreather mask over his face, and into the chamber he went.

Life, it was actually unusual within the universe, and in many ways the most remarkable. For Philip, life was about to get a whole new definition, as the chamber altered and expanded his senses, changing his knowledge of what was possible and impossible, giving him the ability to fix and repair the noetic patterns of living things.

As his senses were expanded, he began to sense his own pattern, to feel it down to the smallest detail, he knew the flowing of blood, the beating of his heart, the chemicals flowing through his body, the electrical signals of his nervous system. Without the basic orientation he'd undergone, this would perhaps be maddening..

Eventually however, though his journey ended, as he was taken down to the celular level of living things, then back up again, and he was ejected from the chamber... alive.. but changed.

Philip stared at his hands. Upon prompting of the doctors, Philip quickly got dressed, followed the doctor so others could use the room, and when they stopped, he marvelled at the bacteria on the walls. When the doctor next spoke, Philip didn't look at him, he looked at his eyes, arms, skin, hair.

"Ah, still getting used to the feel of the body now, young man, I imagine?" The assistant guided him down to another room, and gently showed him inside, to the showers, and then left him there to get cleaned up. "You may want some time to rest, and when your ready, ask your Agent, they'll direct you to the training room."

Philip went where he was directed, almost like a zombie. He looked at everything and nothing. When he went to clean himself, he was amazed at how much life was in a 'clean' shower. When he finaly took his shower, he took longer than normal as he looked at the beuty of what lived in the water, even after the filtration and clorination. When he rested, he just watched the life that was above him in the higher floors.

Apon waking, things where different yet again. He could see everything from yesterday, but somehow it was a bit more 'normal'. He looked at his hands, and they where HIS hands, even with the extra sense. He made his way to find his agent, pausing briefly as he saw new 'patterns'.

Accessing his computer system, his agent, part of the interface with his computers, manifested and spoke up. "Morning sir, the trainers would like you to meet them in the lab, today they are going to go over seeing and repairing damaged noetic patterns. I've been informed they call this the latrosis mode."

As Philip looked at his agent, it looked 'hollow'. He almost wanted to ignore what it had to say, like it was just an add on TV.

Philip headed to the lab. He took his agent for directions, hoping not to need it. He hadn't been like this for long, but a 'hollow' person had started to creep him out.

Perhaps the agent was hollow, in terms of life, yes it was, it didn't have any life to it, it was simply a holographic agent interface for his computer. Soon enough, he found himself to the training room, which had several different living creatures in it, animals for the most part, and some of them appeared to be hurt. Someone different, a middle aged woman, her brown hair tied up in a bun, with an almost motherly look about her was waiting for him. She was also carefully soothing a hurt puppy, and when he entered, she looked up.

"Ah, just in time, I was about to see to this poor fellow, if you can look you can see the bones in his right leg are broken."

Before she had begun to show him how to help the small dog, who was whining from the pain, Philip touched it, and a few moments later, it was healed. The woman, who had yet to introduce herself, stepped back, blinking, and looking rather suprised. "The last time I saw that down so well was by Docter Zweidler himself."

<end Prelude: Philip is free to post in the body, mind and spirit thread, he's with the Legion unit who just came to attention>
