The next morning Connor rose with the sunrise, going to retrieve the paper in his bathrobe, wearing only his boxers beneath. He waved to his neighbor, a well off doctor who's wife had just passed away. The Doctor, like Connor, owned two huge dogs, though his were a pair of German shepherds.

"Probably so Aurora, though that's a discovery that can wait for now."

"Hmm.. I dare you too.. " She paused a moment, as she thought, and an idea came to her. "Jump to the Moon, naked, and take a series of complete picture of you stark naked against the lunar landscape. Connor rose from his chair, letting his robe lay where it was and smiled. "Accepted."

He picked up his Video camera and smiled. "I'll be back in a moment."

He vanished in an actinic flash, reappearing on the moon. Thankfully he'd made this jump a few times. He landed near one of the craters. In the background Earth could clearly be viewed. There was another surge of quantum and then there were two Connors. One held the camera while the other walked over to the rim of the crater and held out his hand. In it a futuristic beam rifle appeared and he turned to the rock and engraved an area about 2 by 3 foot with the message, "Mech was here, 2026, nude."

The gun vanished into nothingness as he bent down to scoop up a moonrock the size of his fist and he smiled at the camera as suddenly it began to spin freely.

The second Connor was gone and The real connor grabbed the camera and the video stopped. Seconds later Connor reappeared in his kitchen and set the rock on the table. He smiled.

"So you want to judge it on the camera, or on the big TV?"

"I think, it would be most fun to look at on the TV, then I can go and double check." She reached out and touched his cheek, running her fingers over his chin. "Not that I doubt you, I just want to see the place you burned your name into. After that, you can come up with a dare for me."

Connor led her into the den and played the video allowing her to see him do exactly as she had said, and see that he was capable of duplicating himself.

He smiled to her. "A dare eh? Alrght."

He thought for a moment.

"I dare you to bring me a picture of yourself of five of the tallest mountains on the continents, One for each of your continental selection, clothed at your discretion, in two minutes."

She didn't view the dare as starting the two minutes until she left to begin the dare.

"Anything?" She paused a moment, her eyes glazing over at the thought, and then she looked at him, completely uncertain. "Honestly, Conner, I have absolutely no idea.. perhaps somehow find a way for nova's to safely grow beyond thier limits, without the troubles and problems of taint?" She replied to his question, somewhat hesitantly.
