As an example, your character has been working out in the field, fighting a lot and using his Brawl. He could increase Strength and Brawl, but not Martial Arts.Don't fret about whether or not something qualifies. Just talk to me, and generally, if it fits your character's concept, you've probably been using it in game. If not, downtime can be given to the group (and will be regularly).
