(ooc: This Chapter is for Fox/Sly only.)

Sly woke up in a dark room. He slowly reached out with his hands and felt cold, wet stone. The only source of light came from a tiny barred window. It looked like he was in a prison cell. He could make out faint voices mumbling or moaning across the far end of his room. It was too dark to see and fear slowly gripped his heart. What happened? What was going on?

Sly wasn't at all convinced this reality was any more real than the last two, but he hurt and that wasn't any fun. For one thing he should easily be able to see everything in the cell with this much light, the fact that he couldn't was his first clue. Still, if he was somehow trapped in his own mind, or was being mentally held by others in some illusion or mental prison then he would just have to break out. Either that or he was awake inside his own dream.

What was the last thing that happened before I woke up? He had been on top of an aztec pyramid surrounded by thousands of aliens and the one in front of him had struck at him mentally somehow. Right! So what do I do about it now? There was no easy answer to that one. He suspected he was trapped in some mental prison rather than a physical one, but that didn't do much good. Only way out was to force a way out mentally.

Despite the headache it caused he reached out mentally searching for Tom's mind. That was a mind he knew and if this was a 'real' prison then he'd be able to reach Tom from anywhere in the world, or even from the moon most likely. If it was a mental prison then he might be able to see reality through Tom's eyes and break apart his confinement that way.

The headache became almost unbearable and for a moment Sly had the feeling he was about to pierce the veil. Suddenly a pain like hot needles numbed his mind he rattled against the wall he was leaning against. Shaking with pain he looked down at his body not understanding what he saw.

He had four arms... his skin was dark and his vision improved yet was unfamiliar... estranged.

He heard an unknown language which he started to understand after a few words. As if he had always known it.

"We're not going to survive this. They've already enslaved half of the planet. We have nothing to withstand them. This is the end of our kind."

The voice came from a cell across. 6 dark red glowing eyes shimmered in the darkness but he could see the shape of the creature. It looked like him.

"Don't count on it. They just suffered a major set back. But tell me about the situation as you know it." He wanted a few minutes to recover. He had felt like he might break through for a minute. Perhaps if he pushed all out he might escape, but with the pain that had caused he wanted some rest, so for the moment might as well see what all this could reveal.

"How can you tell?", asked the creature. "We are on deathrow here. The military leaders get killed by example to force enslavement of our kind. We failed, General. We failed."

There was a metallic clacking sound down the corridor and some light shone in. Muffled voices echoed down to the cells. "They're coming. It was an honor fighting at your side, General."

The other creature straightened up and put both of his arms at a bend angle against his chest. it looked like some kind of salute.

Sly mimicked the gesture just to be polite, but his mind was racing. If they were coming perhaps he didn't have much time illusion or not. He gathered all of his will to make one last massive effort. He would reach out of this mental prison or die trying. When he felt ready he pushed with all his might reaching out to any of his team members he could find.

As Sly was concentrating to focus on that spot he almost breached earlier the dazzling headache hit him again. He stumbled but this time held on. Through clenched eyes he could see 2 of the metal hulks they had fought on earth flanking a creature he had never seen before.

It was tall - way over 7 feet but still smaller than the hulks. It's limbs were eeringly elongated as much it's head was. It looked a bit like the classical alien most people imagined when they were talking about aliens. It looked at him smiling triumphantly and raised one arm. Then the scenery started to flicker. The image of the alien got replaced by... Tim?

Sly blinked a few times in total disbelief. Tim stared at him having difficulties to adjust.

"Dude, is that you? You look fucked up.", the Tim-Alien spoke. He reached with one arm through the bars and touched Sly on his shoulder - then a bright flash hit them.
