As Noah makes another perimeter it occurs that there is something odd going on. He had seen the three men talking earlier and that wasn't all that unusual near a place like the Quardny. Then there were the other three men walking casually up the street, but now on the opposite side of the bar there were another trio loitering in the shadows apparently just chatting. There was something about the way the men were standing however, one of the men was just too ridged to tense. His body language betrayed anxiety.

___

Inside the big man frowned suddenly, but then looked over at Yseult, "I think we should get you all dressed more appropriately, and there's no time like the present. You've already been seen by many of the patrons of the Quardny, but I doubt there will be more than one or two spies among them. Still, Durma, might it not be wise for us to take our guests out the secret way and soon, before those spies report them?"

Omar looked at the asssembled locals and Durma. "Who wants to have a quick tea while they are changing their clothing?" Omar figured it was better than standing there like a lump of meat. Besides, it was good to build up a good relationship with potential allies.

Noah focused on the tense man and let the power flow through him ever so slightly. A burst of color erupted around his target, what the docs called his 'aura' and the man's emotions came pouring through. The young marine felt the emotions but distantly as if through a fog or haze; it was still an odd sensation for him.

Noah still considered himself an amature when it came to empathic scans but he'd been practicing with the docs back at the base and was getting better every day. In this situation he'd take any advantage he could get.

Noah broke squelch twice on his radio before whispering "Snake Dog to Cool Breeze, Snake Dog to Cool Breeze. There's a party out here and my dance card is filling up. I've got 9 jumpy suiters out here. Advise."

The big man nodded, "Yeah, that's where I was taking you. It leads out through some tunnels under the University. Used to be used in winter to go between buildings and avoid the snows. There were some pretty bad winters about 20 years back from what I hear. They were closed up after one collapsed a few years ago. Most people have forgotten they are there."

The big man removed his own jacket and passed it to Omar. "Perhaps we should see to the clothes after we make good an escape yes? For now, put on jackets and that will have to do."

Durma nodded at the suggestion and removed his own passing it to Yseult, "Jacob, give Major Hawke your jacket and hurry, if the Minister has minions on their way then they can only be coming for us." As the man named Jacob reluctantly removed his jacket, Durman continued, "I tell you this. Sending a raid into the Quardny is a tactical error, there are many influential people who have ties to the Quardny having haunted these rooms in their own days in college. I am surprised he makes such an open move, but I suppose he controls the media so people will believe what the media tells them."

Ryan calls to Noah. "Snake Dog, home in on this location ASAP with all possible stealth. If not possible, Code is Rabbit-2."

"He'll either respond that he'll be along quickly, or signal he can't comply and go to a rendevous point near the gate and wait for two hours for us to get back with him."

"Omar waved off the man. I don't need a coat. As you can see I am already dressed in local garb- unless I missed something about the way locals dress." Omar was not used to running from a fight. For him, it was far better to eliminate a threat than to flee from it.

He headed into the tunnels with the rest of them. The only solace was that he would face an army of people when the time came. That thought made him smile.

"Negative Cool Breeze, the whole prom has just shown up. I'm counting at least 18 to 20 hostiles, possibly more and they are all ready to crash your party. If you have a way out the back I suggest you start hustling."

Noah slipped from his hiding spot and slowly crept his way to the back of the building, keeping an eye out for any hostiles.

"Damn." He looked to their guide. "Let's go quickly. We'll meet up with him later." With that he followed their guide to the secret Exit, not quite so confident in the ease of the mission anymore.

"Stay Frosty Snake Dog and keep safe. We'll let you know the score Over and out for now."

Yseult followed the large rogue scholar to the unused tunnels, staying between Ryan and Omar. She hoped that Weston would be okay - she thought that to be very likely, his innate camouflage was quite remarkable. He should be able to meet up with them without too much trouble, once they got above ground again.

She was a little concerned with the jaffas apparent paranoia, but there might be a way to use that to their advantage, even if only momentarily.

The trip through the tunnels went quickly and the tunnels themselves were quite clean. It was apparent that someone still used them despite their being officially closed. Partway through to the destination the group did have to make a detour around through side tunnels before turning back the direction they were originally heading. Durma pointed out that it had been a detour around one of the cave-ins.

Twenty minutes later found the group coming up into a marble lined hallway. The big man gestured around, "This is the physical sciences building and it is on the far side of the university. We'll have to go above ground from here, but I will take you all to my place and we can finalize our plans there."

There were no people on the streets in front of the building, but the still cold air carried sound a great ways and it was obvious that something was happening back toward the Quardny. There were shouts that could be heard even from this distance.

The man had a small house a few blocks from the university about half way toward the government buildings and just a block or two from the park where the Stargate rested. Inside was very nearly bare except for basic furnishings. Definitely a bachelor's place, and one who didn't care much about home life.

It took Noah less than 5 minutes to arrive since he had headed in the most logical direction away from the chaos.

The men who had been discussing politics at the Quardny all seemed very impressed at his arrival and that he had managed to completely evade the net.

The big man started in without ceremony, "I say we move immediately. Before sunrise we could be in position and inside the Minister's floor in his building. With this raid he might be there now, but it is more likely he ordered one of his underlings to do it and will arrive at his normal time and expect a report. If we go in now we could net both Trofsky and his head of the enforcers."

What the large man suggested seemed reasonable, but Yseult kept silent. This was her first team mission off-world, and she would leave the planning to those with far more experience.

Yseult's eyes shifted focus between the men of her team, waiting for them to make a decision. She gave the room a quick once-over, noting it's spartan furnishings, with a mild smirk - bachelors were bachelors anywhere, it seemed.

"One of you will be able to get us garments, yes? While we wait here."

Omar fidgeted slightly as the anticipated battle loomed. While he enjoyed a good scuffle, there was always a chance that he could get hurt, or killed. He tried his best to focus on the upcoming battle, and tried not to empathize with those who he might have to deprive of their lives.

"Let's find some clothing for everybody and get to the business at hand." He looked at the big man. "If this outfit is not sufficient for the local populace, i can change it."

The big man shook his head, but it was Durma that spoke, "No, those clothes are actually perfect. No one will question an enforcer being in the Ministery."

The cloths were quickly seen to. Between the big man and the others they were able to outfit the whole group in civilian clothes except for Omar and the big activist. He too had a uniform that he had acquired from somewhere which he donned. Unlike Omar's the other had what must be officer insignia on it. He said, "This should get us past anyone that might question us. We'll be escorting the rest of you as witnesses to tonight's raid who have information for Trofsky. As soon as we see him open fire with your weapons. He also produced a zat from a drawer.

When he saw the others looking at him questioningly he shrugged, "I took it along with the uniform from one of Trofsky's men a few months ago. It was pretty easy to figure out how to use."

Durma quickly summarized the plan for Noah as everyone was getting dressed. "We are going to march right up to the ministry building and walk right in. Our good friend here and fellow conspirator has made a study of the guards and habits of the forces guarding the First Minister. We will hopefully get inside and be waiting for Trofsky when he arrives. When he does and we feel fairly safe, we'll open fire with your Goa'uld weapons and disable the guards."

The big man gave Durma a hard look. "You can't be afraid to kill if necessary. We'll only have one chance at this and we must use surprise to our advantage, this easy of an opportunity will never come again. If we fail, he'll be on his guard and we'll never get close to him again."

Durma did not look happy in turn but nodded resolutely.

Ryan nodded. "We can tak the head from the snake and return this world to its people."

He frowns. "This mission isn't without risks. There could always be more guards, silent alarms, things we simply can't plan for. I want you to do as you did before Noah, I'm giving you full authorization to to take out targets of opportunity as you see fit, just be quick and be silent. Perferrably I'd like you to secure an exit route for us."

He looks to their guide. "Are there any secret entrances, or exits you know of, places where they could send in backup behind us and cut us off, or manage to evade us?"

That they wanted to open fire from a distance was fine, but Omar knew his real strength was in hand-to-hand combat. he decided to tell the locals a little about his 'special' combat abilities.

"I understand your desire to open fire at them from a distance, but I can close to any target in only a second or two, even if they are 50 or a 100 meters away. Once there I can engage any targets as needed or even take out the first Minister on my initial charge." Omar was not so much tooting his own horn as he was stating a fact regarding his abilities.

Omar smiled. "The initial chaos from my charge should allow the rest of you easy shots."

The big man shook his head. "What I'm planning is to get us into the ministers office or at least his waiting room. Some of his guard will enter first and no doubt take protective positions around the Minister, others will be behind him. We must wait until he is fully in the room before taking action or he might slip away. He's very cunning. Once he is if you can use your talent to knock the guards out of the way, I will use this," He holds up his zat, "to disable him. When you charge and clear the way the rest of us will open fire."

Omar's eyebrows rose in a humorous mockery of Star Trek's Dr. Spock. "My French friend, out of the dozens or so jaffa that I have faced in combat, only a few have perished. But if it makes you feel better, I will pull my punches. You must know though, that it will place all of us in grave danger should I do so. The Jaffa are not as accomodating as you and I."

The big man nodded, but Durma looked unconvinced, he kept silent however. The group moved out and made the trek to the Minister's office in short order. There was a back way in guarded only by a pair of guards. They looked alert and aggressive until they saw who was leading the group. They just nodded to the big man and stood aside from the door to let the group pass. One of the men struck a fist to his chest in salute. The big man frowned but nodded acknowledgment and moved into the interior. He took the group down a hallway to the right that smelled of something like lemons and it had a freshly cleaned look in the dim light. Near the end of the hall there was a door that opened into a stairwell. Three flights up the door opened into another hallway much grander and more ornately furnished with stone busts of distinguished looking men and carpeted with what on earth would have been very valuable persian rugs.

There were another pair of guards at a set of double doors. One of the guards narrowed his eyes at the new comers and asked, "Levan, what is the meaning of this?"

The big man who was leading the group to the ambush shrugged, "Trofsky wants to question these people. I was told to bring them here this morning. It has something to do with the raid on that building last night and the people that came through the Chapa'i."

The two guards looked to each other and the other man just gave a small shrug. "Wait inside then, he'll be here within the hour."

The room behind the double doors was quite large but not furnished for the comfort of visitors. The chairs were hard and would not be pleasant to wait on indefinitely.

Yseult sat on the edge of one of the hard chairs, breathing deep to try to contain her anxiety. Her hand was beneath her foreign coat, stroking the smooth contours of the Zat. They were really going to do this thing.

The statuesque blonde's head was tilted to one side, straining to hear anything on the other side of the door. Her muscles were tense, her mental focus quivering with delayed action. She was ready to activate her telekinetic field to repel an attack or to grab anything that looked like a com-unit from Trofsky's grasp. Her hand was slick with sweat on the glossy surface of the Zat.

The big man looked at Yseult and sighed. "Keep your weapon concealed but read to fire, and relax. When they walk through the door their guard will be up but they will hesitate to act until given the word by Trofsky and he will want to know what we are doing here before he orders anything. We should easily have five seconds in which to fire on them before they react. Wait until I fire then act."

Yseult gave a sharp nod, listening to the big man, then felt some more reassurance when Ryan gave her direction. Some of the tension left her face, leaving it smooth, and her breathing become long and steady.

She hand stayed on the Zat, making sure that it remained concealed beneath the bulky coat. She would have time react - TK field, comm-unit, zat the ones on the right.

Omar looked down at the big man with a smile. "I'd rather run in before you fire. Once you fire, they will fire and I will have to run a gauntlet of fire. Of course I could get there before they have a chance to respond to your fire."

The Iraqi giant turns to his commanding officer and acknowledges the orders. "Yes sir."

Trofvsky's people, twelve in all made their way into the building surrounding their master. As they went further into the building a pair would stop at each key access point and remain there.

By the time he made it to his office there were only six of his security detail with him, and the two remaining outside to guard the door.

Ryan heard the door turning and nodded to the others, while readying his Zat.
